I agree with what you say, but the ebay link you posted is not the right one. Although the description says figure-8, the pictures show a cloverleaf connector. Another give-away is the three-pin mains plug: a figure-8 connector should have a 2-pin mains plug.
Whoops! The first photo on the listing shows a C7 IEC connector, as does the listing title which this is not . Good spot!
Just got my D4 from this previous Zapals deal delivered. Can confirm that it is 100% genuine via Nitecore Validation (uses 16-digit unique code which can only be registered once).
Word of warning: the "AU adapter" they gave with mine is a generic international in/AU out adapter that you'd find most places. However, it's flimsily made: the springs inside are really weak, so the original AC cable doesn't sit in well. It's a bit of a hazard; I've had it spark up on more than one occasion. You may wish to invest in a proper-fitting cable without an adapter
