Also available in stores. I bought a couple yesterday.

You'll probably be able to buy other slightly more expensive boards online which offer better energy absorption, but this is more than enough to cover most surges one would get at home. I bought a board online a few months ago and was very disappointed at the quality, would much prefer something I could see and touch in front of me, so feel free to drop by the store to have a look first.

    FYI: For "Energy absorption", the higher it is = the better it is
    That is the point when the energy is high enough to blow up the board.

    These are not very good. They don't have wide spaced sockets to fit large AC adaptors etc.

    Doesnt look like they have insurance payout if it fails to protect your gear either like some of the higher spec brands do, only a lifetime warranty….bit useless if it fails to protect my gear :(

    if you are serious about protecting your gear from Surge, get an electrician to install a filter in your switch board and protect the whole house. Get a safety switch while your at it if you don't already.
