      No, the ps4 is not real. Sorry to break it to you. Play-station-for-you are all fake. If the link was working, you'd see the description is gibberish. "Genuine picture of a PlayStation" or some such.

        Honestly, the entire event was kinda dodgy, and poorly planned. they were fixing up loopholes as the event went on which was good, but the loopholes should not have been there to begin with

          They will think twice before using Shopify for next years event. The same thing happens with Kylie cosmetics, they use Shopify backend and once the timer is up the products sell out instantly bc people are using bots or add to cart chrome extensions

          yeah, the system seems really bad, but it shouldnt have gotten to the point where we were playing cat and mouse with them (we were finding cheat ways to access the stuff, and they were fixing it in dodgy ways on the fly). you would think that a compant that has been around since 2012, and always seems to have these issues would have resolved the issues by now, and would have come up with a reasonable solution from the get-go

          Also we got trolled with the RSS feed page. The person who posted the RSS page, was a new ozbargain account created within 4 hours of their post. The very next item after the RSS page link was posted had fake entries. Pretty ridiculous,

          Also considering they wouldn't have got advertising revenue for those refreshing the RSS 'atom' page instead of the banner page. Probably rogue Web developers trolling without Management's knowledge. If Management gave go ahead this is pretty lousy form and I agree with other commenters here, that its a case of clear deception. If I had bought one of those scam products I would not take it lying down…..

          Anyone, know how I can remove my account personal details from this mob? The click-frenzy store cannot login any more. Might have to contact them.

    Which ps4 did we win by the way?

    The photo looks like a ps4 pro (right?), and I figured "new look ps4" was just another way of saying it, but I'm not sure anymore. It says 500gb, but looks like ps4 pro is only 1tb?

    If someone could clarify, or give their thoughts, that would be much appreciated.

    And no, we didn't win a fake, got it from the morning draw ;)

    EDIT: I'm concerned it's really the ps4 slim but with an incorrect photo of a ps4 pro. On the other hand, the price ($4) is the same as the price for the Xbox one s, which supports the case of it being the pro version. Again, thoughts are appreciated.

        You can send a complaint to Click Frenzy through their fb page, they seem very responsive. Also, on the confirmation email footer it says if you have any questions, reply to this email or contact us at [email protected]

    The event fulfilled the retailer participant's requirements. It got their brand out, got eyes on their site, and got people rubbing their hands greedily wanting items they will still want when they find out they've missed out. Why should they care about little details like a handful of people feeling a little cheated or a few people getting duped into sending their money to fake accounts (that will probably eventually get it back from Paypal anyway)? We fall for it every year so to the retailers it's a huge success.

    Fellow oz bargainers here is an awful lot of negativity around this farcical comp we all mostly had a crack at yesterday

    But in true oz bargain fashion why can't we the collective let the people who "won" have their moment in the sun rather than pull them down and tell them they bought shoddy products.

    I read this post from top to bottom including a few others, and there were more than a few who were using loopholes and we're happy enough to make their claims.

    To me it looked like click frenzy changed the game to give more people a chance after they figured out what was being done to give more people a chance, I also read the full code block this morning.

    I'm also happy to say good on any of you who got something out of it for less than they spend on their morning coffee

    And if in two weeks time it turns out to be a crock there is an army here of witnesses and we're all protected by the payments by the CC companies and Paypal made so it's not like anyone has lost out financially

    We have plenty of time to destroy them if need be if indeed it did end up being a sham before next year.

    So please stop and let our friends on here breathe easy and enjoy the spoils of rsi and panic and I look forward to tales of happiness from those who in fact ended up with something legitimate

      Congrats to all that managed to grab something. I got a PS4 and Westfield gift card which I'm hoping will arrive after 2 weeks. That being said, they haven't accepted anyone's PayPal payment yet so only time will tell if they accept or decline everybody's at once.

      Since this is a yearly thing - has anybody from here successfully received anything from last years event? If so, how long did it take? And did the items sell out instantly or did they have more stock than this years?

    Could be a coincidence but in the last 24 hours I've received a hell of a lot more spam emails than usual after subscribing to click frenzy, anyone else have this problem?

      I wouldn't be surprised about the spam. Someone should probably check their privacy policy and see if it mentions sharing with third parties

    Im the same with PayPal. The money has been taken from my bank account and I can still access the orders from the confirmation email but within PayPal I can still cancel it as its still "Pending".

    In regards to the spam emails who knows I get enough crap come through as it is.

    Anyone get accepted via paypal yet?

    Scored an Xbox via the banner link, got a PS4 via the rss feed - luck would have it it landed on the right link.

    Next year they should just give random prizes to their subscribers, it would avoid the issues we have seen thus far.

    This comp was bent in favour of fast connections, SSD drives, Gamers accustomed to Twitch reflexes and tech enthusiasts who just looked up the default Shopify RSS feed.

          A paypal dispute may also be the way to go, it's hard to argue against evidence, especially if a number of people do it.

          @Fuzzy: Dunno if a paypal dispute will work cos they have cancelled the order and refunded the money. I think this route is only if they don't refund. Hence ACCC?

    I scored a few items (including a couple via the RSS feed) and paid by credit card. As of this morning, each of those transactions have been completed according to my bank. So surely PayPal transactions won't be too far from going through…

      They have admitted is message to me they setup fake product pages to catch "scammers" hmm setting up fake product pages with a payment option for products you never intended to provide sounds like fraud to me….

      I got one genuine order through banner and one through the clickfrenzystore search i.e. scamsung.
      I've cancelled the scamsung order given the new updates and hopefully they will still honour the genuine one…

    This doesn't bode well, they had 1500 I would say products, the sale was a few days ago. I still have a payment pending and i'm hoping they honour it. But if they don't, this will have been the biggest waste of time

          Problem with mine is that I got up at 6 AM for the PS4 and won it at 6:03 and I have screenshots of that. Then I won the gift card at 9 AM and on the last day I searched the tv on the search page and bought it thinking it was real, so I cancelled it straight away so I think they will cancel the rest after seeing that :-(

          I will message them now.

          I suspect if you have one dodgy order they will cancel the lot…
          Now do they have grounds to based on the t&c's? I don't see anything in the t&c's that has been breached.

    Order # was canceled because it is suspected to be fraudulent, in that you have used means other than those advertised to customers to access this product, and your conduct has breached the terms and conditions of Click Frenzy. .
    :( looks like a no go.

    All my orders have been cancelled, I will be in touch with ACCC. I have screenshots of the PS4 banner and checkout pages, they will have to do something about it

      I'm of the belief they're also in breach of state regulations with regards to not having a competition permit. This seemed more of a game of chance and as far as I know, at least in NSW they did not have a permit to run such a comp. So maybe going via Fair Trading or the equivalent in each state might be also a line of enquiry.

          @smodahf: It's probably how they are trying to get around accc reports. If they pretend they suspect fraud maybe there's some loophole they can use not to provide goods?

    Guys they are not scammers. I did 2 legit orders and they did not cancel it and are going to process it but the orders I did using the RSS feedback they cancelled those ones and those were not the right ones.

    people who got their orders canceled they probably placed their orders for PS4 and Samsung TV.

    click frenzy committed the fraud so shopify step away because of the bad rep
