This is the international version of the Xiaomi Mi Box (read store rep's response in the item feedback). If you are planning to buy the new Chromecast Ultra, well….don't because this is better and cheaper.

On top of the already close to US retail pricing, you can also use mobile site to save $1 usd, save $2 usd site wide coupon, save $5 mobile only voucher, get 11.11% CR.

I paid $71.99usd out of pocket after all the coupons and fingers crossed I will get my cashback from CR.

        I'm 95% happy with it. Kodi works almost perfectly. Wifi sucks but I used powerline adapters. I'm prob going to buy a nexbox from AliExpress while the sale is on though this mi box is tempting

    it's RMB 299, so less than $50 from China XiaoMi store.
    I bought one, was reasonably good.

      That is probably a Chinese version without Android TV os or Google Cast.

      Those aren't running Android TV, can't do google cast and don't have Google's software support.

        Agree…. spec perspective that one is better but functionality perspective this one.. I don't need cast only want to use my movie drives to be USB connected to media player to project out using projector.. probably better for me to go with higher spec one.. your views?

          If that's the case, it would be best to save money and get a Nexbox a95x. You don't gain much real world improvement over the S905x.

          Just picked up a Nexbox 2/8GB for $43 AUD delivered on aliexpress. used my 2$ coupon and the store has a 1$ coupon

      Nearly all of those cheap Android boxes are limited to 480p / SD Netflix…the Mi Box is one of the few exceptions that is certified HD.

    Ordered one through walmart when they first came out. Great media player. Netflix 4k, youtube 4k, googlecast works as well as a chromecast. Kodi for the most part works fine (current issue with hevc 1080p 10bit files is my only complaint).

    I've been using this for 1 year.
    Bought it in China for $55.

    It needs restart after long time using.
    Also the wifi speed is not stable sometimes.

        I'm pretty sure their hardware are same.
        The only difference is the new international rom.
        The one I'm using has a Chinese version rom installed.

    Ordered this and it just arrived, 13 days for delivery but I did pay for the express shipping, worked out just shy of 120 aud.
