    OW can't put my name and address and details on receipt required for a 10% TRS refund at airport for a purchase above $1000, they're offering 5% off 15" price. Good guys is currently better if they can print out an actual professional receipt instead of a coles docket, anyone with experience here? I could get 15% off here if they office works could do an actual printed out A4 receipt

      The emailed OW receipt should work. Get them to email you and put the name and address on the tax invoice at checkout

        The guy can put my name and email and address on the coles style docket receipt, bloody manager, had to ask another person. So the cashier can email another receipt? I'm in store right now btw

          I brought the Macbook 12' 2016 model in July 2016, they enter your details manual (name/address) and it prints on the reciept.
          100% accepted at TRS counter!

        They won't price match, I wanted the 2015 Macbook pro, they said it's below their purchase price and advised me to buy from TGG. They would sell the 2016 model for 1979 though.

    cant make up my mind whether to buy or research Windows laptops further..the 15" looks like a good buy but still 2k on a laptop.. especially when employees of some companies can get it for $1500 according to niner..

    Apple Store in Adelaide couldn't match the price - they said go buy one before they sell out!
    JB Hifi in Adelaide price matched the 15inch macbook without issue. I got the last one.

    OW doesnt price match with the 15inch because they said "they called up tgg and the spec was 8gb not 16gb??? I checked the model number which is same as jb hifi and it was 16gb… the attitude of OW staff wasnt friendly

    Just got a call from OW Jandakot saying head office confirmed the price match policy doesn't work for liquidation clearance stock. Fortunately I picked one up from Officeworks Cannington 5 minutes before the call. :)

    Failed pricematch on the 13" 256GB old model in Sydney as the only stock is either in Gosford or Wollongong. For some reason they wouldn't deliver to any other store or to my address :/

    Just picked the last one up from northmead. The staff were reluctant to price match but the manager after a few minutes approved. Ended up getting the 15" 256GB for 2067

      I can confirm its a 16gb as I rang up to tgg after i ordered it. The OW didnt price match me. They just told me that because the spec doesnt show it was 8gb or 16gb.

    Ordered one through the Good Guys Website, on the final screen it said I should be getting an email to confirm order, it’s been over an hour and no email. Most likely it will be a pricing error and will be refunded. All local OW and JBHIFI refused to price match as well.

      I ordered a few hours ago.. got the confirmation email the same time as my Paypal confirmation saying it had been allocated to a store. Store called me at 4pm to confirm the details and said they are shipping it out.

      Yes. The email came after about 4 hours. Then the store called me another hour after that to say they cancelled it due to no stock.

      Just tried price matching the 15inch retina 256g at OW Marion, same lame excuse. I said thats fine ill go to the GG across the road. His response "if they have anymore in stock". Smarty pants!

      Went across and decided to get the 512g version instead had to burn off $1500 in giftcards. Total was just a little over 3k with apple care. Very happy with my purchase, thank you OP!

      Apple guy was there and was surprised at the special.

      There is still 1 more 256g macbook pro in stock, didnt check other models sorry!

          I do hate shop with their attitude not honoring their own policy to beat / price match other store by saying "Why don't you shop to the other shop", meaning "Please don't shop with us with lower prices".

          i Find the opposite is true for Dan Murphy. They're only too happy to honour a price beat and to slash prices with upcoming dates. Meanwhile OW workers think the billiondollar company they're working for is losing precious dollars if they honour a big discount on a few 1 year old macbooks and treat you like you're trying to game the system.

          Pissed off today. Had one ready to buy, they even emailed the receipt when I asked them too and then the manager comes over and tells me he can't do the price.

    Thanks to the post i brought MacBook Pro 13" i5 256GB HDD Retina for $1609 at Harvey Norman in Victoria today price match and use 3 Amex cards to get $300 back :) plus going overseas so will claim tax back. This is the best deal i have ever brought.
