This fantastic beard trimmer has had another price drop at Amazon! I have been using it for the past 5 months and absolutely recommend it.

  • i'm seeing $55

also had my eye on it for a while. waiting for the amazon gods to align so i can do a massive shipment.

    • The $63.43USD figure I quoted above includes shipping, but yeah it'll work out even cheaper if you're planning a bulk shipment!

  • Locally sells for $170

  • What's the cheapest it's been locally?

  • +2

I have one. TBH, it's not as good as you thought it would be. Cordless does make trimming easier and that's all about it. I thought it could trim my hair smoothly as in the barbershop but I was wrong. It jams that is no difference to 30-dollar Remington ones.

    • So no good for an all over buzz cut!?

      • +1

It depends. I listed the pros and cons based on my experience for your reference:

        Pros:
        1. Cordless, so I trim in the shower room directly without much cleaning up efforts. My primary reason to buy this.
        2. Battery last quite long.
        3. Plenty clips and accessories such as nose hair trimmer quite useful.
        4. Quality of build is great.

        Cons:
        1. Trimming experience is mediocre as it jams.
        2. Battery indicator sometimes doesn't work for no apparent reasons.
        3. Cliper size selection is weird. It has 3,6,10 and etc. In fact I use 3, for fading in, 6 for the sides and 9 for the top. Not sure why they choose size 10 for the clipper. Remington has size 3,6,9. One inch does make a difference.
        4. You will need a adaptor to charge it as the plug is American standard if purchased from US.

I paid $90ish shipped from amazon almost two years ago. It still works but battery indicator plays a bit. Amazon reviews suggest a lot people experienced the trimmers broke quite often but that did not happen to me except the battery indicator.

Last but not the least, I think under AU$100 is good price to buy, but I certainly will not buy it for $170. Don't let the glorified brand & Made in US misleading you. It probably wont last longer than my Remington $30ish one, which is Made in China and worked for almost 8 years.

        Hope above helps.

  • Warning, mine broke after a month of light use. Had to order a replacement head from amazon for about $30. The little steel spring mechanism breaking is apparently a well known issue.

  • I just return from LA and grabbed one from wallmart for USD$59. Have yet to use it yet so can't comment on how it cuts but it sure feels solid !

  • Wait so is this suitable for shaving ones head? Or is it only for the beard?
