    • Are you able to see the sale for Japan hotels? It's not live (or even false live) in that region yet, is it?

  • +1

I checked two hours ago, the 40% sale appeared on Singapore Hilton for late December. But now the sales has disappeared.. weird

  • Sales are live for several places, however online booking doesn't seem to be working.

    • Same issue I'm having as well.
Maybe we have to wait till the live start time tonight.
Prices do seem to be changing on the website …

      • I tried using a third party site, booking.com
They seem to have to discounted prices applied. Give them a shot! Worked for me!

        • But.. the sale hasn't even started yet.. not for another few hours…

  • If I pay using my AMEX [meaning I get the 150 back for spending over 300] will i be still able to get the additional 40% off as stated in the website?
    Example
Room charge is AUD500. 40% from the AUD500. [Discount is 200] So the cost to me booking directly with Hilton using my AMEX is AUD300. Out of this AUD300 AMEX will credit me AUD500 ??? Is that how it works?

    • Will credit you 150, otherwise perfect!

    • They're not related. As long as you spend over $300, you'll get the $150 back.

  • mine isn't working????

is it working for anyone yet -

  • When I read the full terms, it doesn't say anything about pre-paid being excluded: https://merchantgeo.secure.force.com/selectsImage/servlet/se…

  • Looking at a few Aussie Hiltons and no discounts showing yet :(

    • Same, looking at Brisbane and no discount showing, but it was last night

      • I had a pop up (not the link below) that had a count down still running.

BUT, this page also suggest that the sale doesn't start in Japan until 5pm their time (7pm Sydney time).

Try this link everyone, page has been updated with the 40% sign. Now to see if it actually applies properly…

Edit: looks like 1 and 2 night stays on Friday/Sat nights are not allowed in the sale - Sydney/Melb Hilton

    • I tried booking over the New Year period. No go for Adelaide :\

    • I booked a one night stay on a Friday night and it works for me

Nothing for Double Tree Hilton Darwin, and now the offers are more than before the sale!
The 40% is advertised for the Hotel but i can't find any.
Hope its just a delay in the system …
      Fingers crossed!

Update: Looks like the Sale Fares are coming though now. I have just booked :)

sale doesn't look that good unless i'm looking at the wrong thing

when you apply standard rates and toggle between that and 40% off it doesn't change the price

  • Its on.. Its on.. Its on..

  • it's on but I can't access deal, I get an error when I click south east asia

  • Anyone else getting Sunday to Monday only available to Hilton Sydney?
Looks like just for November, December onwards has more dates available.

  • I tried for the Sydney Hilton for the next weekend, but no luck.. No discount rates, same as before, have waited for too long. Guess, what? time to turn towards Marriott / Langham etc then :)

  • I tried for Sydney on Sat 19 Dec. Site says there's no availability if I go through the sale link, but when I don't go through the sale link I can get availability (at the regular price).

    • Me too. Tried for Melbourne at the sale start time. No availabilty for the sale price but they still have rooms at the full rate. BS.

FYI the sales started 7pm Monday Melbourne time. I got an email from Hilton with a countdown etc in it telling me this morning.

That being said. I managed to get a 40% discounted executive room @ Hilton Sydney for about $335 (Sat 21 Jan 2017) and the next day it was $438 (Sun 22 Jan 2017) but using my Hilton Membership discount. Not the 40% one.

If you are looking for discounts. I would recommend looking on a day per day basis because if the second day does not have the 40% discount then it will not show any at all.

I also used separate Amex cards to book for the $150 Amex deal.

That is awesome advice. Just booked Tokyo Hilton, Feb 18-22. At first tried to get most Basic Room, quoted me 25680 for each day. So I separated it, booked basic room for 18 and upgraded room from 19-22. Came out to 22800 for the first day, and 23880 for the other 3! Play around with the dates, mix and match, the system is really strange.

  • ive booked Tokyo for this month and through the website it says the HH 40% off is applicable however when I go on expedia and tripadvisor, the prices are the same!!! what gives????????????

    • Those sites base their prices off the Hilton database. When Hilton has a sale the third party sites prices will drop too.

  • Is this valid for Singapore in early April? Not sure how I get to the right link?

A lot of the rooms are unavailable for the rate at the listed times. Got baited

this link might be better for most - http://apac.hilton.com/flashsale

  • In regards to the AMEX component, bullet point 1 of the T&Cs states:

"Gift Card purchases and pre-paid online bookings are excluded."

Has anyone had any luck stacking the two? technically Hilton describe it as a deposit…

"This reservation requires a credit card deposit of AU$XXX.X AUD which will be charged to your card."

Keen to hear how people have gone

  • I'm trying to book a room in Tokyo, how do I get the 40% off to appear?

  • I just checked with them and it doesn't include Australia. "I see that we have the limited hotels across Japan and South Korea which offers this discount. I'm sorry, this offer is not applicable for the Hilton properties in Australia".

Apparently, we are not part of Asia Pacific!

    • It does

Doesn't include certain basic room types at certain properties though but works at others.

      • If that's the case, Hilton themselves are confused about this promotion.

        • We're talking like 4 properties out of 100 though. And of those the higher room categories are on sale that are even cheaper than a basic room (good for non status members). Also, the property that I was looking at just made basic package available (with no breakfast) and I was able to book.

I don't see what the problem here is. Hilton is probably the only chain that actually has sales and decent points promotions and Australia is included.

        • @takutox:
I've done a bit of experimenting. I think once there are not enough rooms (too many already booked), that specific room then becomes excluded from the discount. Try booking one day at a time through the app. Once you identify the day that your room isn't available (if not all LOL), check if there are any rooms that are available under the flash sale.

If ALL hotels are showing no discount, close your app and reopen it. Worked for me! Hope that works for you too!

        • @takutox: The problem is that the person at 'support' on live chat told me that the promotion only includes some hotels in Japan and Korea but it actually does include some Australian hotels.
I have no problem with Hilton as a hotel chain - in fact I've just booked at one. But I would like their live chat support staff to give out correct information - that's a simple problem.

  • Has anyone had any success using this 40% off promotion with the AMEX cashback offer? I'm going to book at the Hilton Brisbane for Jan, but if the cashback offer won't stack I won't bother trying to reach the $300 mark.

    • Yes I have, see my post above

Book it over the phone with the card you registered for the Amex cashback…

      • Thanks, didn't even know you could score the 40% off over the phone too!

        • No probs. When I read the terms and it said the Amex credit isn't available to Online prepaid bookings I thought I'd test over the phone instead! You go through to the Accor/Hilton central bookings office in the USA/Phillipines instead of the hotel you are booking at.

Tracking email from Amex came through the next day when they actually charged the credit card

  • FYI, booked online and got the cashback

  • I booked online a Hilton hotel in Jan, but my card has not been charged yet, does anyone know if I can cancel this card and make a new booking? As they are having a better rate on their website. Thanks.

When you book online, was your card charged instantly?
