I was talking to Sunny @GearBest about Xiaomi Yi 4K a while back and he gave me a heads up yesterday about a sale that starts on 9th on Yi products. Out of the listed products, I think the Yi 4K is listed at a good price. It has a RRP of $249 which makes this almost 17% off. If you go through CashRewards, you should be able to get this for $202 (AU $263). Register and subscribe to the mailing list to get another $1.20 off which would essentially bring this down to AU $261.37.
It's on par with GoPro Hero 4 Black and may well be comparable to Hero 5 except for the sound recording. In terms of hardware, it has the same sensor and processor as the GoPro Hero 4 Black. Here's a video comparison of GoPro Hero 4 Black and Xiaomi Yi 4K and another that does Yi 4K with Hero 5 Black.
I have one of these and love it. It's a very capable device and battery lasts for 2hrs easily. Shooting with flat enables you to color grade the footage better but Yi Color profile isn't too shabby either. Low light performance is really good as well.
I'm bummed that I missed the tablet and phone but figured out how to do this. The issue is when we use the paypal account, gearbest automatically picks the email linked with the paypal account into their system. I think they match that email address against their database so it's useless you having a new account unless you replace that email address. Do that and it works.
Happy Shopping.
How did you drop the price from $249 to $202? Cashrewards gives only "up to 2.4%" for GearBest. I ordered this cam last weekend for $249 US with express delivery of $30+ AUD (need it before my holidays) and it cost me around $370 AUD in total. Will see how much cashback will receive, but don't expect more than 2.4%.
