Microsoft Windows 10 Pro OEM CD-KEY (Global) - $22.39 @ SCDKEY

244

OEM key, same as past deals, but cheaper than past cd-key deals!

With Windows 10 Pro, you've got a great business partner. It has all the features of Windows 10 Home, plus important business functionality for encryption, remote log-in, creating virtual machines, and more. Get fast start-ups, a familiar yet expanded Start menu, and great new ways to get stuff done, plus innovative features like an all-new browser built for online action and Cortana, the more personal digital assistant.

After purchase, you can also spin for a free CD key here (likely something crappy, but hey it's a bonus)

Thanks to HUKD

I feel the need to report this deal.

    • Why?

      • +13

They are very unlikely to be proper keys, they might work, but they would be breaching the EULA of the key.
MS are going after retailers selling keys that break the license. http://www.crn.com.au/news/microsoft-reseller-pays-250000-ov…

        • +9

Yep, if you're going to break EULA (which could be blocked at any point), you might as well just pirate.

        • @PainToad: I've taken a bunch of machines through Win7, 8 and 10 on similar keys. A packet saved. Never a key revoked. This is a far superior option to piracy, as it doesn't put you at risk of modified images or dodgy cracks/keygens.

        • +6

          @gruso:

It's not about having them blocked. It's about paying money to someone breaking the law, there by encouraging it.

If you feel buying ill gotten goods is perfect ok, then im not going to try to convince you otherwise. My moral threshold is just set higher.

        • +1

@incipient: There's a high chance these are legal keys purchased with stolen credit cards. Harder to trace and easier to fleece.

        • -2

          @PainToad:

So you're saying you might as well pirate Windows 10 rather than buying a fully working key?. Yeah makes a lot of sense there.

        • @ryang:

More like they may be system refurbisher OEM keys or OEM keys distributed to developing markets at a big discount.

p.s. I bought a Windows 10 Pro OEM key from another key seller (CDkeyHouse), activated months ago and it's still going fine. So i've had a few months use out of it so far so had my value worth.

You'll run into problems though from a dodgy seller that's selling the same key to multiple people. That's how the key may get revoked.

        • @PainToad: Except the EULA is not enforcable under Australian law.

        • @gruso:

This is a far superior option to piracy, as it doesn't put you at risk of modified images or dodgy cracks/keygens.

          LOL WOT?

There are no modified images, cracks or keygens involved in using pirate methods - in fact none of those things will work.

        • eula is a broad term as microsoft has many licensing options…. oem is for system builders so if you buy parts it's covered ….. never heard of microsoft going to msy and asking which parts were bought with the oem and what the serial numbers were so it can be blocked .if you didn't buy cpu and motherboard LOL ….. the n version is europe …… oem means no help line support as you are supposed to get it from who built your system ….. not sure i want to pay microsoft for phone support anyway LOL ….. i've always bought oem, and last system after i upgraded the cpu and motherboard they reactivated win 10 over the phone……

You should read the mod comment that OP linked instead.

I don't know why people get so worked up about this stuff. Oh no! The hallowed Microsoft EULA! This is worse than those terrorists who use a VPN to watch Netflix Canada!

If it's not illegal, who cares? Paying retail for Windows is lunacy.

      • +1

This might not be legal though.

        • there is a difference between legal and breach of a license ….. it's a civil issue, and not financially viable to pursue.

      • +1

If it's a breach of the EULA then it's illegal.

Also people get worked up about companies profiting off illegal activities, you know…laws, the foundation of modern society?

        (…too dramatic?)

        • +2

If it's a breach of the EULA then it's illegal.

No. Law is complex, but this much is simple: it is not illegal to breach any contract, much less a EULA.
However, there may be some other law broken.

Breach of EULA could make you liable to compensate MS for losses, in theory. More likely, they will just revoke the key.

        • @manic:
Haha very true. I should have said "a breach of the EULA is a civil wrong".

      • +3

Cause buying a key, having it work for a month then getting it revoked is a pain in the ass?

        • -1

I've had my Windows 10 Pro OEM key from CDkeyHouse work for months so far.

        • @hollykryten: Ironic that you were hesitant to buy a game through 'dodgy key resellers' but you're happy to buy an operating system from them.

        • all my games are from key resellers …..

        • @garage sale: Mine are about 50%. My point is that having an operating system key be revoked is considerably more annoying than having a game key revoked, in my opinion.
Plus I've never ever had a key reseller game removed from Steam, but I have had it happen with Windows.

        • @theguyrules:

Yeah i got over that. :)

        • @theguyrules:

Even if it is revoked. Use a new Windows 10 key. Start, Settings, Update & Security, Activation, Change product key. Solved.

      • Wait a minute, I'm a terrorist?

    • maybe they just got all these keys before the price drop, and just trying to get rid of them.
      Aint they just $49 before?

  • +4

This has zero chance of being legit.

  • +2

    LOL Professionel…

  • +9

    Windows 10 "Professionnel"
    Seems legit

  • +2

still free with assistive technologies way, right?

    Save $22 bucks

    • What? Can you get a free upgrade to pro? Or do you mean upgrade from 8.1 pro to 10 pro?

    • Save $22 bucks

That is an UPGRADE - (technically) requires an existing licence.

This is (allegedly) a NEW KEY

  • +2

    100% not legit

  • Can win7 gain win10 as free upgrade still?

I did this at the start of the year.
Win7 pro oem via microsoft swap.
Then all me pcs can now clean install win10.

    (No need serial key anymore)

Win7 pro was purchased under $20 from msswap

    • MS Swap is probably even less legitimate than this site.

      • Yup i agree.

If and when I upgrade my motherboard n cpu; hope it will still install…

        • even if it does not work (most likely will not work because Win10 signs with the hardware) you are still saving money by purchasing another license from software swap to keep you going for another 2 or so years

        • @perksie89:

          Great minds think alike

  • Okay so, where's the cheapest legitimate way of getting Windows 10?

    • +2

      $191+ (source)

      • $129 MSY

        • -2

Or $239 for Pro, but thanks for the neg :)

        • +1

@Spackbace: @Jessie Ryder Also thank you for your recent posts… if they existed.

    • Most people dont need pro, price for home is $129

    • build 10130 trick still works.. you'll have to research this though but it works :)

the youtube link for tutorial unfortunately went private

    • Install Windows 7 and then install Windows 3 as a dual boot.
Now you have Windows 10 on your machine.
      Windows 7 + Windows 3 = Windows 10!

Do they sell Netflix username/passwords as well?

  • This deal is not for me but I have a related question:

I have just got a new laptop that came with Win 10 Home, my old one runs on Win 7 Pro but it too old to be able to use Win 10.

Can I change keys so the new one runs Win 10 Pro and the old one runs Win 7 through downgrade or do I just leave the old key on the old laptop?

    • Short answer no. The OEM keys are tied to the hardware. Do you really need the "pro" features?

      • Should have added more info, my old laptop originally came with XP or vista I can't remember, I got a 7pro disk on a very very cheap deal, so its not tied to hardware in my view.

I requested an upgrade when it was free ages ago but couldn't upgrade my old laptop as the hardware wouldn't allow it, it is still showing upgrade available. Can I use this code to put on my new laptop then upgrade to 10pro?? If I can can I leave the old 7pro on the old one or do I need to use another code?

        • I suppose you could try a clean install of Win10 ISO on your new laptop, and give the old win-7pro key. But I think you are too late to activate it.
If that works, put Linux on your old laptop.

          edit: see http://www.zdnet.com/article/windows-10-free-upgrade-is-stil…

        • @manic:

the upgrade code should be able to re-activate, but not sure about the OEM home key, can always try to ring MS again. just say the mother board dies and you need to replace something.

Ring the USA number, they are usually a lot more helpful than AU staff , and even the automating system is better using the USA line, sometimes it doesnt activate in the auto system in AU, but works in the USA.

  • If you're going to bother with an oem key, may as well get it cheaper.
I've recently bought a few 10 pro keys from German eBay (use chrome for translate) for about $12 AUD, working just fine, updates and all.

  • :( just bought from playasia for $35 yesterday :(

  • I recently revived an old pc in the cupboard with a new power supply. I had a windows 7 pro upgrade key that was linked to that PC before. I installed a new hard drive and ran the windows 10 pro USB key install for a clean install and when i went through the authorisation it just updated to a windows 10 digital key. Didn't expect it to be that easy.

  • If they can't prove legality of the licence (and at the least it certainly violates OEM rules), I feel these sorts of sellers should be blocked on Ozbargain.

  • does this still worK?

  • also which location should i select?
