None of these are available anywhere though aren't they?

Edit, ok sorry, shows up after I allow location from my phone.

Lol, eb is known to have no stock on really cheap games.

        FTFY

  • Some really good deals like Persona 4 golden and red dead redemption for a dollar. Unfortunately added a couple of items and there is no stock within 25km and 10 stores of me (brisbane). Might be useful to some people though.

  • +1

99% of the stock can only be found in the most random (often remote) areas of the country. You'll need a lot of luck to get anything worthwhile.

  • +4

you cant trust the eb website for stock availability .
    its only an indicator.
    so always call to check
its worth visiting stores as they have stuff at clearance prices sometimes just to get rid of that u wont see listed
    99% off etc

    • Yeah I'd pop in and check. I remember a few stores near me having new copies of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z for Vita but they don't pop up in the stock indicator.

  • added like 20 to my cart to find only one at my local store
and i only added it as it was a pc game so it was a why the fk not game not something ill actually drive to eb games to pick up one lol.

If anyone can actually find them, these games are the ones that might be worth playing:

    WATCH DOGS WII U
Sonic All stars Racing Wii U
Castlevania: the lord of shadow PS3

  • saw $1 PS3 and i got so excited as mine just died, until i finished the sentence :( 1 second of fleeting hope..

Sonic All Stars is legit. I'd grab it still for 10 bucks, never find it for a decent price anywhere.

  • +2

Who actually found something good? I called up 4 stores and they said they had individuals clear out everything early in the sale (not that it's surprising).

    • I managed to get red dead redemption for ps3

  • Omg danganronpa for $1 but stock is in WA :(

Went in store to Eastgardens - they've joined the same list as Dick Smith for me. This is the second time they've failed to honour a deal. Just standing there saying "No. No. No." does not constitute customer service.

    • That's pretty poor. The Indooroopilly store has excellent employees and management.

I was told that the Super Smash Bros price was just for the Gamepad adapter and that the adapter itself is called the Super Smash Bros Plus adapter. Showed the lady the EB Games website which clearly indicated she was making it up as she goes.

Same lady last time refused to honour the Smash Tennis price from a few months ago. In the end I had to order it online, set it as Click & Collect then walk back to the counter to claim the exact game I took to the counter 5 minutes earlier.

Seeing some of the other comments here shows that it's not isolated to just this store. Now, I realise that for $1 it's hard to complain much but it's not asking much to be treated fairly.

        • Ergh, it's not hard to apologise and go through with the transaction.

I certainly believe it happens in many stores, as indicated by a few articles and interviews a while back - managers treat employees badly and employees deal with customers badly.
I had a chat with the manager of Indro about it, at the Fallout4 midnight release, and he got a bit fired up. He hates the way the other EBs run things, assuming the stories are true, and puts in a lot of personal time to make sure it's a good workplace and business.

  • Has the site blown up? I just get the logo on a splash page.

I suspect they mark them $1 like that when they've stopped selling them but don't want them off the system. Not to say no one will get one through freak chance though so share your stories if you do.

I got the last Beyblade CE at Brisbane Myer - but it was missing the box and bonus :/

  • I bought The Smurfs 2 for Wii U for $1, there was 2 in stock at World Sq last night, and now I got a notice that they couldn't find it, refund.

Managed to get 3 of the 11 games i successfully ordered.

After spending half an hour trying to get some of the games finally managed to order 4 from inglefarm, 4 from elizabeth and 3 from firle.

Wake up to a phone call from inglefarm telling me they've got 3 of the games.

Email from elizabeth and firle telling me they don't have the games before the store even opened.

Called firle to find the exact games i'd ordered on the shelf for $23.00 each and up.

Elizabeth went and visited later that day, same deal found the games on the shelf, high price ticket and the guys working there claiming those prices were only on pre-owned, despite it listing them as new copies when purchased.

Went to inglefarm to pickup the 3x they had, to be handed a bag with loose discs in it.

When inquiring being told, it was all the "loose crap without cases and books" that were sitting around in the database, no cases and they were all preowned.

Mentioned to them what happened at Elizabeth and Firle to get the guy laughing and telling me, not suprised, we've only honored it as they are unsellable.

Pretty dodgy how many stores are refusing to honor it or selling this gear as new complete stock to hand over a used disc in a bag.

  • Ordered 8 games from 3 different stores all supposedly in stock.

Few minutes later I get an email saying "bad news" none was found for all of them.

One of them bothered to call and tell me they do have them but only loose discs. Told her no thanks.

    Sigh..

  • cheers. managed to get one $1 game from my local. at first they thought it may have been a stock discrepancy but manged to find it [a little worse for wear] tucked under a table. :)
