I was at JB hifi Roselands and the guys were writing up the signs for their upcoming TV sale. The staff also confirmed the sale verbally. Did say all TVs but will definitely find out Thursday as past sales have had exclusions or particular brands only.
Please note: staff said their catalogue prices will revert to RRP on Thursday and then 20% off.
E.g Samsung KS9000 65" 4K SUHD HDR Smart LED LCD TV $4196 today back to $4496 Thursday Then $3596 on sale.

Hi swiftsport,
I'm in the same dire straits as you, the price for 10 inches is nearly another tv. I did find a YouTube clip with the X8500D and the guy was playing black ops 3 and it looked smooth. Funny thing also the 65 inch supposedly have higher lag according to some reports. The 8500 gameplay was on a 55 inch on YouTube.Hmmm it will most used for movies and occasionally kids playing fps but dead set on hisense 65" M7000 was $2300ish but couldn't get over how good picture was on Sony.
Any change these will be cheaper on Boxing Day sale? Jbhi staff said this is first time they had 20% off Most Tv that he knows of.
I bit the bullet and paid $24 for Choice.com.au to check the reviews. Considering they are independent and paid membership, you'd except a non biased review. If spending $$ thousands what's $24. Anyhow, I don't want infringe on any copyright but the x9300d has an overall score of 69% and X8500D is 76%, and cheaper too. I know the IPS vs VA panel as both have differences.
Last bit of info, I was deadset on Panny DX900 and also looking at the Panny DX700. Last sunday I was Binglee and the Panny DX700 looked amazing at Bing Lee, then I went to JB HiFi and the Panny DX700 was washed out. Even the DX640 looked better than the DX700 at JB. The panny DX900 looked amazing at both stores.
I guess each store tamper with the settings and also the exclusive 4K content to sell their products.@bezanel: Yeah don't trust what you see in stores dude - go off the professional reviews.
Most stores have their TVs on crazy settings that look like crap if you decide to watch a movie (eg. Motion blur). When you get the TV home you can adjust to your preference.
@AlanHB: You must know their tricks of the trade. Cheers.
Check out this - https://youtu.be/aDsw7j1unsE 65X930D Review (Bend, 3D and screen uniformity)
After watching this, I went looking at the X9300D model in store and noticed JB HiFi had a sign on top of this TV. I couldn't see if straight or bent like the youtube clip.anything wrong with the samsungs? i keep seeing people posting the ks8000
how about the KU6000? i cant see any difference between the ku and ks
The KU6000 is an entry level model while the KS8000 is one of the higher end ones. If it's in your budget, I would say go for the KS8000.
I ended up getting Sony 65x9300D for $3500 with 5 years warranty not sure if it's the best price around or ever beats paying ticketed price.
Not sure if I should have gone with the Sammy Ks8000 65" though your thoughts guys?I didn't pick up just in case I might change mind over night, would they allow me to change it to a sammy next day?
I have read comments that JB are generous with their return policy. People have gone back in the past and complained about light bleeding or other issues and they have exchanged, but they also get pissed about ppl buying and trying and returning numerous times.
If you do get the Sammy, you can get 36000 velocity points which redeem for $200 JB Gift Cards or other gift cards.
I'm swinging towards the X8500D, as one the guys said previously said you can run Kodi from Tv. Or with the $200 gift card if you get Sammy then get the Minix Neo from JB (they gave it to me for $200 a month ago - price match) and hook that up to the sammy to get Kodi.Yes should be fine to change. Sony was the best a few years ago but to be honest I prefer Samsung now. Don't think Sony is made in Japan anymore either? Either way I would recommend checking both in store before purchase. Some of the LCD's (from all brands) have really distracting dirty screen effect. DSE is still there in the KS8000, but barely noticeable - definitely better than LG screens which have very distracting DSE. The other thing I read with Sony was the input lag was a bit higher for gaming. I would never purchase extended warranty with a TV either but that is just me. Think it is hard to go past KS8000 for this price, especially with 36,000 Velocity points included.
Have t read all posts but sister company the good guys is running the same 1 day sale if jb stocks get exhausted.
Same as Harvey Norman and Sony website

Sony X9300D 65" 4K $3196 is this the cheapest ATM and is this a good price?
After much homework was dead set on a Hisense or sammy ks8000 have decide on Sony would you say it's a better Tv?
Just about to purchase in one hours time how is the gaming lag on this and motion blur, as far as I can tell the blacks are better then two above and motion blur better also.
