Currently there is a US$4 off coupon that's automatically applied in your cart, by default mine tries to add a subscription to the cart but make sure you change it to 1 time purchase before adding to your cart.

Here is a breakdown of the price at the checkout.

Pretty good price as they go for around $15 per 4 pack locally.

Still technically on sale but I'm marking it as expired as they put the price up by a few bucks probably due to increased sales.

Never thought of razor blades from Amazon but the numbers add up …..

Nice deal, thank you. A note that you can save a bit more if you can collect from a parcel collection points (usually the pharmacies in the area). My total came to AUD 16.52 because I chose the option of collecting the parcel from the local chemist.

It's ironic that the cheapest way to buy razor blades is to visit your local chemist, where a single pack has been shipped across the globe with your name on it

      • lol true, I see the irony :P

        • +2

Me too — but it probably just looks that way. I'm sure it's Stainless Steel. :\

  • Would these fit the fusion body handle?

    • Sadly no.

    • I saw 14 cartidges for like $14 in costco today.. dont know if that is a bargain or what

      • Lolwut sif? Sure they aren't the disposable ones?

        • It was the refil one but for fusion blades

  • +5

Man, for that I can get 50 Feather blades. And change.

    • here here!

      • +8

Do you get toilet paper rolls to dab your wounds with that? :)

There's a reason people have gone for these more expensive versions these days… quick decent daily shave with no blood.
I completely agree with you that nothing beats a straight or safety razor for cleanness/smoothness of cut, but for everyday use they just aren't worth the time and concentration required.

You can shave your face half asleep and not literally lose half your face! Safety razors need time and concentration, otherwise you get complacent and can destroy your face.

Every man should learn how to shave 'properly' with a safety or straight razor, but for a quick daily shave your 50 Feather blades aren't worth the trouble for daily use.

Trust me… I know what you are talking about. I have thick black hair that no electric razor can handle anymore.
I can fully appreciate the type of cut you get. But for those that dont have the time to 'pamper' their face in the morning, Mach3 is still the way to go!

It's not just money… its time and safety (I always scoff when I hear the term 'safety razor'… they are anything but :)).

        • +1

I cut myself once using a DE blade. That was almost ten years ago. It's actually pretty hard to do. ANd I get really, really hungover sometimes :)

Contrast that with using a Mch3SuperTurboNitroXXTREme and I get razor burn all over the place after dragging that cheese grater across my skin. Those things don't slice the hairs, they pull on them and scrape over the top. Ugh.

The reason people go for $5 a shave quintuple vibrating blades is because they get marketed with sports cars and hot girls caressing your face afterwards.

Jesus, do you work for Gillette or something?

I don't think anyone is denying the carefree shave that cartridges can give you, but stop spewing out all this rubbish about some delicate, time-intensive routine that safety razors require.

It's a quick and easy shave once you've practiced, don't hold the razor perpendicular to your face and you'll be fine.

Plus this is OzBargain, it's WAY cheaper than any decent cartridges, with giving better results.

Anyone who is lost an doesn't know what a 'safety razor' or 'double edge razor' is have a look:

          @jjcf

Come on mate, give me a little credit. Of course I don't use Mach3 because of the pathetic ads. The product works!

I'm not sure if I made myself clear in the previous post, but I LOVE DE razors!
I've got a Merkur 38c (for rookies, it's like their standard model but it has a longer heavier handle that I feel balances it out better), and either Feather or Platinum depending on cut I require (again for rookies, buy the sampler razor pack and work out which blades work best for you. Some pull, some are almost 'too sharp' or at different angles, but their IS a difference between brands).

          @corbz

Of course not mate. But I'm confused with that you've said. In one sentence you've said cartridges give a carefree shave, but in another you've said DE Razors are a quick and easy shave. There is NO WAY you could shave as quick between the two… no way in hell. DE Razors are great for when you have time (going out on a date, going to an important event like a wedding, or simply feeling like you want a proper shave).

But you cant say DE Razors don't take longer. They certainly do.

Yo, can you recommend me any good double edged Razors & Blades for beginners? I've been using these basic Gillette Mach3/Schick Ultra/Gill-Schick Hypersonic Super Quantum style razors all my life and have been wanting to transition to something that offers a better shave.

    • Jokes on you! I've been using the same Mach3 razer blade for ~10years. Still works fine.

      • +1

Are you talking about the head itself, or the handle?
The plastic on the head usually breaks in a matter of months. Hard to believe you've been using the same one for 10 years, if you are talking about the head. Or maybe you shave once a month.

        • More like once a year.

        • The head. Still sharp and working fine. That strip on the top came off a long time ago though, but it seems to serve no purpose for me anyway lol. Still the same handle too.
But to be fair, I don't shave often. Maybe once every few weeks.

Bought a pack of 100 feather blades years ago, and I'm just now down to my last five or so. Great value!

  • $4 USD discount coupon expires October 29 USA time. So that's when this deal expires or if the price itself jacks up before hand.

  • good deal but have way too many razors thanks to OzB :)

Any thoughts on why mine is higher?

    • +1

Mine came to $15.76 USD. so didn't proceed. Looks like they've raised the price.

  • what about the russian 8 pack for $6.50USD delivered? seems to be a better value deal

    actually there's a whole heap of mach3 8 packs there…

  • Indeed the price has been jacked up. Deal is over.

    • I ordered. Still a good deal imo.

      Order Summary
      Item(s) Subtotal: $42.96
      Shipping & Handling: $5.34
      Amazon App Referral: -$5.00
      Your Coupon Savings: -$4.00
      Total before tax: $39.30
Estimated tax to be collected: $0.00
Grand Total: $39.30 (should come out to $52)

About $1.73 per blade, compared with cheapest of $2.58 at the local Woolies + that should be enough blades to last me the next year or two :)

      • $42.96 USD?. Just how many packs did you order?. One pack (for one-time only purchase) is currently $21.54 AUD delivered. That's about $2.15 per razor for that.

        • 30 blades (3x 10 packs as linked in the deal).

    • +1

Deal is over i meant by the $17.89 AUD delivered price deal.

Also make sure that you select the one-time only purchase option. Otherwise the default is subscribe which means you order a subscription order which means you have to keep buying more and more at a later date according to the subscription amount. You'd find you keep getting more charged from your credit card and shipped out to you on a monthly basis if you accidentally order a subscription.

Too late. Price has gone up. :(

  • Do these work with the flexi head shavers we got from pinchme a few months back?

    • Gillette Fusion ProGlide Razor with FlexBall ?

      ^^Nvm price increase aborting

    • Pretty sure they are Chinese made for distribution in China and Russia and have thinner blades that wear out quick, and if not then they are fakes.

This is taken from one of the verified purchasers on there:

It's not original, but better than other copies.

The other reviews say much the same thing.

  • just made it earlier today after seeing this post. thanks.
