Used this is conjunction with the ebay 20% off deal last month to get Momentum Wireless Over-ears for ~$370. Haven't received the money yet but my claim has been verified.

    • should've posted it mate, would have jumped on that price!

      • That's $370 with the eftpos card. You're still $478 out of pocket from $598 orig price.

It was posted. That's how I found out about it. :) https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/269067

And Izefyre, it's a deposit into your bank account, not an eftpos card.

        • Oh is it? my bad. Last time it was an eftpos card. :)

  • As someone who has this headphones (and is wearing them right now) they're amazing. Sound quality is crisp, trebles not too bad but I think bass is slightly weaker compared to others. They're also amazing for people with big ears (like myself). Get the over-ears.

    • Yup, I got the momentum On Ear for long walks through the city.

Perfect amount of isolation, and quality is to DIE for.

      • Hmmm, for an average ears like mine, can't tell the difference, sound quality wise, between the normal $40 earpods and a momentum. Feel like returning mine.

Could it possibly be a low quality audio source?
My 60+ year old mother broke into tears hearing the newly mastered Elvis CD with such clarity.
And she listens to that CD daily, she just heard such beauty from the orchestra etc.

I have mild tinnitus from tuning car stereos.
I moved from some UltiamateEar headphones to these, and its night and day.

Surely there's much more bass, at the least?

        • @MasterScythe: She cried cos she can hear again? :) give her a set of hd201's, she'll probably be as happy as she is now. :) I have nothing against momentum, they are great headphones. I impulse buy when I found out about the sale and the extra $100 cashback. Just can't really tell the difference, maybe I'm not too critical about trebles, base and jargons as such, but for as an average consumer, would still go with my handy dandy free earpods anyday. I guess when people see you with a pair of momentums with that boastful sennheiser logo changing color, they would say, wow he/she must be cool! Like beats, when it was the trend back in the days. :)

        • @MasterScythe:

Low quality audio source I would reckon as well. If not maybe a faulty unit.

        • I have the same problem. Can't tell the difference between my Sennheiser Momentum 2, Momentum 1, BW P3, Philips M1, Bose OE2, Marley TTR.
I actually prefer the Marley TTR which were $60-$70.
The BW P3 were the weakest.

        • @dins: using it with an ipad mini 4 and an iphone 6 plus. Music from deezer and movies from infuse pro all with high audio quality settings.

        • @Izefyre:

That's weird. How long have y'all been using them? I'm a big fan of momentums great sound for all types of music for mine. Mostly listen to my own music tho not off lossy streaming services.

bugger i wanted the In-ear ones

  • Wireless1 have them on eBay for $700 with $100 cashback and a $100 voucher. Is this a decent price for them? ($700 - $100 + $100 voucher)

  • A quick search on staticice shows them as $619 at the wireless1 website with free shipping.

  • Why are these thing getting so cheap? About 4-5 years ago I think I paid more than 300.

  • They seem to be cheaper from JB

  • Umm, need I suggest price in title?

Momentum 2 over ear wireless $524 after cashback.
    https://www.addictedtoaudio.com.au/product/sennheiser-moment…

    • The over-ears are $388.00 at the moment bringing them down to $288 after the cashback

  • Most of these prices are still more expensive than amazon.com (non sale price) delivered to Aus.

  • I managed to get the M2 Over Ear Wireless for $300 at HN. ($600 negotiated price, $100 cashback, and 2 x $100 HN amex offer redemptions)…

    • Wow that's really decent price. Where/How did you get 2x$100 HN amex offer?

The only HN one I am aware of is this

Spend $300 or more at Harvey Norman and get $100 back.

Save the offer to your Card and spend $300 or more, in one or more transactions, in-store or online at Harvey Norman by 30/12/16 to receive one $100 credit. Limited to the first 60,000 Cards to save the offer. Exclusions apply.

It says $300 or more and receive one $100.

Had 2 different cards set up for offer and split the payment to pay $300 on each card…

        • Very smart :)
