Jumping Crocodiles tour
Make your way to the free water parks and stay there all day. They are awesome

chase crocodiles in some local marshes?
Best to hire a little car. Can hire in Mitchell street from one of the big guys or there is a few smaller ones at the start near H105 hotel that might be cheaper
Leyanyer water park - free entry - swimming, slides, play equipment for kids. Really good
Waterfront wave pool. Cheap and awesome.
Territory wildlife park - 40 mins drive from town - really good government run wildlife park. If you have kids it's good. Next door is Berry Springs Nature park - can swim there - quite nice
mindil beach markets - good performers for kids - it's worth going to. Thursdays and Sundays.
Hire some bicycles and go riding around town.
Free movies Sunday night at the waterfront grass. Really good.
went to mindil beach markets this afternoon. a guy doing a show pulled my youngest up as an assistant. she loved it. thanks for that
Yeah +1 for Mindil Beach markets, they're amazing. If you can get out of town in a car Litchfield isn't far away and I found it spectacular. Also if you've hired a car Kakadu might be an option.
When was it $80 return?
Yes
It goes on sale at this price from time to time. For example it was on sale in March and in June:

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/252429They only fly to Darwin from Brisbane though, and the the flights are overnight.
Yes June. Just noticed I paid $70 return. Thanks inherent choice.
