      Apart from the Woolworths saga, there is hardly any issue with AMEX statement credit promos in general, and like you said, AMEX will honor the rebate anyway, so why wouldn't one stack this with the AMEX deal?

        They said. But I have NOT received the rebate. It is usually very straightforward. I agree Amex is normally good. But just remind people that the vendors might cheat and Amex can do nothing.

        I agree, I didn't get the rebate for Woolworths, but apart from that, all cashback are pretty good from Amex

      Just purchased and used the VIP15 code as well as my Amex, instantly received the email from Amex confirming my spend aand thanking me. No issues whatsoever.

      FWIW: I used https://www.scoopon.com.au and purchased a local deal (Adelaide)

      From past experience out of stock items is to be expected from Woolworths, so I would always add a buffer e.g. purchase $120 leaving up to $20 to be cancelled as out of stock, therefore still meeting the requirements for the amex offer. Or make an additional pick up order for $30 after your original order has been cancelled to below $100 (as from memory the offer was 'one or more purchases at woolworths online' but don't quote me).

      That's correct. Scoopon advised us (Cashrewards) yesterday these VIP codes won't be commissionable to us or any other cashback/rewards sites, so we made the call to remove them as a preventative measure rather than trying to put out fires at a later stage when members would have had their cashback transactions declined. We also did a similar thing with Groupon recently.

    Note, I think their T&C's not quite specific enough, (I know unable to mix local deal with shopping), but it seems if you are buying a Local Deal then it needs to be just a single Local Deal over the particular dollar amount (e.g. cannot buy multiple local deals to make get to the dollar amount, as when I tried I get an error).
