I don't actually think Raiden V is available on the Australian store. You might want to add that

    • See below, but the XBox store isnt screwed like PSN, the store is region locked. Ill be double checking by making a friend buy the game then post the results here (in true OZB fashion I am putting other peoples money at risk)

      • I can promise you as someone who has done this in the past that you have to make a Us address, buy US credit which is not easy, and then buy from the US Marketplace.

It's actually harder than US PSN purchases.

        • Easier than psn.
Just did it. No us address needed. No us account needed. No us gold sub needed. Just buy gift card from Newegg or pcgamesupply and change region on console.

I didn't really want this game that badly. Just wanted to see if I could find an easier way to do it all for future reference.

It's only available on the US marketplace. The main downsides to this are the following:

    • An American account is needed to purchase only (similar to the way it works on the Playstation store), but it's easy.
    • US dollars only - an alternative to using credit cards is to buy US giftcards from microsoft.com thelselves.
    • An Xbox Gold subscription is required for that American account - cannot be applied to Aussie ones to get the discount price.

You certain of that? I've done region changes before on Xbox one to get free gold games from the US without an issue. I'll check on this soon and report back.

      • Im pretty sure this is right… Ill be double checking in a moment also.

        • I know it doesn't work via website but I managed to get some of the games with gold from the US and japan in the past by switching regions on the console. The only downside is the reboot time between region switching. Was also able to use the credit I have in my account to purchase through them too. From memory that was about 3 months ago.
Hopefully it hasn't been fixed yet.

thats because the games were free.

To buy them you have to jumpy through hoops.

OK. Can use your Australian account and xbox gold. Just need to change region.
Will need a us based payment method though. Tried to change address in paypal but still wouldn't let me complete purchase.

Yeah the only thing you need is the gift card. Then you can easily change region in the lower left on xbox.com to USA and back to Australia when done. I do it all the time to buy games not available on the Aus store (which btw is a pet peeve of mine - Superhot not on AUS store? dafuq?). Actually it's massively annoying - the region limiting. I was browsing all games on Xbox One a while back and had something like 37 pages of games, switched to USA region and there was nearly 60. Massive amount of games simply not made available to Aussies for some idiotic reason (yeah, yeah, i know its classification garbage).

  • its pretty easy to buy xbl credit on amazon usa.
just need a usa address on your amazon account
    - use oregon for no taxes.

change xbl account region to usa.
    add credit
    buy game
    change region to oz again.

    its very easy.

  • If I remember correctly doing this on the 360 caused issues even with US credit. I was unable to download things that weren't mirrored on the Aus server I believe (Jurassic Park the Game)
