  • Any Type-C cable deals rep? Would've got this for the cable itself but it's non-removable..? :)

      • +5

So you can take it with you and use in your PC or wall charger maybe?

        • +1

          yep

        • @thecrevis:
Thanks for being constructive and confirming the cable is non removable .

    • +1

same, seeing I just picked up the P9 so going to need a few type-c cables

  • Benson approved?

  • Purchased, thank you.

  • +1

    Thanks mate, hopefully works.

I bought the long 3m cable from Blitzwolf the last time it was on OZB through banggood, but it only seems to work with power adapters. For example, it wont work in my car via usb. Is it a cable issue or something to do with power output?

  • +1

Bought this from one of the previous deals and it works great. Would recommended.

  • +6

Ashamed to say I paid over double the price for one of these, but can happily say it's quality is excellent - as is any BW product.

  • Highly recommend this.. Works really well.

  • +1

Got one last time and it works great. Rapid charging has saved my life too many times to count. Would recommend

  • Benson or Broken

Thanks. Bought one. It is bummer that I bought the normal (USB A) charger a couple of months ago.

I think we should have a Divorce lawyer service as part of Oz Bargain deals. I am sure my missus will soon divorce me. She is so pi$$ed about OB :D

Do what I do…. get it delivered to work and don't say anything ;)

      • Yeah I know but, the post box is sometimes too small to fit in some of those packages I receive :P

So I have to keep looking for any cards left by posties :/

        • No Parcel Lockers near you?

        • @dazweeja: Yet to try that out.

        • +1

          @dealspider:

I use them all the time. Accepts any parcel shipping that delivers into the Australia Post network (which is most international economy shipping) and domestic parcels that use Aus Post or StarTrack. It's free and 24/7 but you have to collect within 48 hours or it will go to a post office. You can register as many as you like - I have one near my home and one near my work.

        • @dazweeja: thanks , will give it a try 👍

I bought the same thing from Banggood, it's very slow for both microUSB & Type C, either one charged 20~30% for 1.5 hour
I also got BlitzWolf 4 ports charger QC2.0(?), same phone, same car had charged to 90% to full for 1.5 hour.
I dont know if I've got a bad copy or this model is just NO good.
It's unlikely I'd send it back to Banggood that may cost me more, not sure what to do

I call into question Blitzwolf build quality. One of their USBC cables has just fallen apart after a few months of light work.
I also have a couple of microUSB to USBC adapters that have been clearly put together upside down. They still work it just looks strange.

    • +2

I concur the build quality of Blitzwolf, I've ordered a few type-c charging cables, one have very difficulty to put/remove into phone charging port.

    • I've had one for about 6 months. Use it daily, no issues. Of course YMMV

    • blitzwolf i have the 4 port charger dammmmmmmm slow

  • I purchased one of these recently and got an email from them "Unfortunately we need to inform you about industrial actions between the 26th of September and the 9th of October."

    Hopefully not too much delay.

  • hmmm wonder if this would work on the GoPro5 I bought yesterday!

    • +2

Hmm wonder if this would work on the car I bought yesterday!

      • We can find out if I film your car

  • Ordered 2, thanks

  • +3

The charge rate of these is awesome (rapid charges my 6P), but the USB-C connector is made of low quality pressed metal. The connector deforms extremely easy, so don't get it caught up on your gear selector or chair rail like I did. Thankfully, I managed to bend it back to a usable shape, but it's still not perfect.

  • +12

Got one, and I don't even own a device with USB-C.

    • +3

      That's the spirit :)

  • Stupid question, will this work for a Samsung S5? Did a quick search but couldnt find what type c was

    • The usb socket will, with your own cable, but not the attached cable.

    • S5 isn't USB-C. You can always use it via the USB port - though you'll have a non-detachable USB-C connector floating around the front of your car/

    • +1

Type C is a new type of connector that will probably replace other types of USB connector over time, but at the moment it is still nowhere as widespread as types A and micro-B. See this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB#/media/File:Usb_connectors…

If you don't know what Type C is then you probably don't have a device that uses it yet.

If you want a charger for an S5, I suspect that there are others that are better value. Most type-c stuff is still more expensive than the older/more common connector types.

  • Purchased a couple, cheers for this.

  • Thanks OP got one

  • Im getting a total of $8.43. What am I doing wrong?

EDIT: Fixed, it was adding in insurance. After removing, it came down to $6.69.

  • +2

REP: I would jump at the chance of buying more BlitzWolf reverse USB cables (non-c type). Got a few last time and they're the absolute best USB cables I've ever owned!

    EDIT: I'm talking about these

    • Amazing I never knew you could have two way micro USB it's been doing my head in
These are only under $7 so why don't you order more?

      • +1

        Yeah they're brilliant!

I paid $2.57 for mine so I'd rather wait for another sale. I only bought 2 because I wasn't sure of the quality. Next time I'll buy 10!

    • I wouldn't recommend them. They're not particularly durable, take stupid amounts of force to plug in and have the potential to damage the micro-USB ports on some phones like the S6, S7 etc.

      • That's strange. Mine requires a comfortable amount of force, I actually like it. But my phone is an old Note 3.

  • +2

    Thanks, bought one

    Finally a 3A type-c car charger

  • Thanks! The 3A will save my life one day, will leave it in my glove box.

  • I wonder if I ever own a device with USB-C. Got 1. Thanks!

    • assuming you'll be buying new devices for the next 5-10 years at least, i doubt you'll be able to avoid USB-C eventually. it'll end up on pretty much every phone soon, short of iPhones i guess (although even there it would give Apple a chance to put identical power ports on their Macbooks and iPhones).

      • You are probably right, technologies. If Apple make a switch to USB-C it will be epic!

  • Getting $9.99 each. Can't see where to remove insurance?

    • It got me too. You have to enter the discount code when checking out. The code is at the top of this post :)

  • I have a Samsung 6 and would really love a fast charger in the car. Does anyone know of any good prices chargers to suit?

  • Thanks! Got 3 for $19.69 plus possible 4.8% CR!

  • Does the HTC one M10 have compatibility with this?

  • Thanks bloke!

  • Damn you Ozbargin… …Ordered 3.

  • Still waiting for my August order - anyone know how to get this mob moving?

    • Finally arrived - 2.5 months after ordering - yet some charge cables took only about 10 days.
Will have to think long and hard before I order from them again.

  • edit: never mind, wrong item doh!

  • +3

Wow, fast shipping. Ordered 12th, received today. There was no rush as I don't own a USB C phone yet, but nice service anyway.

  • Got mine today, thanks!
So much better than geekbuying who haven't even sent my bloody TNT express post usb 5 port charger!

  • Heads-up: there is a coupon code "b8cb34" that will bring down the price to $4.90 (lower than the original deal).

  • Yet to receive mine, has been at a status of "Arrived at Destination country" for nearly two weeks now…

  • Ordered mine over a month ago and it hasn't arrived. Spoke to live chat and they're supposedly sending me another one.

    • Mine never came, either.

It made its way to Sydney and stopped there. Now it's in LA.

They at least issued a full refund.
