Are you the Rep, because this reads like a ad.. and there really isn't enough detail.

$400 for a years hosting seems pretty average

      Thanks

  • Its $400 for 3 years hosting at 2000GB which is more or less an indication that they are very much so relying on people not using the full 2TB, if everyone did they would be out of business very quickly. Very dodgy since 2TB hard drives start at $160.00. Do they do backups? The most reliable hosting service provider is a pretty bold claim.

That webpage is pretty horrible for a web designer, the email address isn't even clickable.

    • The email address is not clickable to avoid the spammers

Please take a look at the sample website hosted & designed by us:

      www.directivity.com.au

      as well our portal:

      http://www.thestudio5.com

      Thanks

Non clickable email address won't help stop spam at all, plus you are linking your email address every few comments here.

    • +1

the email address isn’t even clickable.

I have seen this many times.
As the rep said, it is to avoid spam

      • +1

spam bots and email harvesters click on email addresses? That is not right. To avoid spam you'd have to obfuscate it somehow eg [email protected]

        • +1

By making an email link clickable, you require an href and mailto which makes it easily detected by crawlers. But obviously this guy has left it in plain text without any obfuscation like you said, so it really doesn't make a difference. There are heaps of information out there to help you make clickable And encrypted email links.

What's the bandwidth, hosted in Australia, any details of this? This deal is very sketchy.

Looks dodgy as hell. 3 year 'contract' with a start up company…only an idiot would sign up to this.

    • It is not a start up company

    2000 GB of what?

    Storage?
    Ram?
    Data transfer?
    Email quota?

""Website - A virtual Executive - works for your business for 24x7x365 days - For One Time Salary - and without any monitoring"

"For One Time Salary" - You don't pay a salary to have something built for you

    "00613-95110134"

The 00 is not needed. The prefix to the country code depends on where you are calling from.

The pricing section on your website does not actually list any pricing.

From the look of your website you do not actually offer website hosting?

  • +4

So is your website studio5.com or studio5.com.au. The dot com appears to be an Indian design team and dot come dot au is Australia?

    Bizarre.

  • +1

So 2000GB of storage….How much upload and download bandwidth do you allow each month?

  • +1

Do a simple google search and you'll find heaps of free web services which offer great things these days compared to 5-10 years ago. Probably equiv to what this guy is offering. This sounds like a pathetic scam, and like everyone else said you have insufficient information. Despite everything, your pricing is ridiculous, have you seen the pricing these days for web hosting? Even if you're not, you sure do sound like a ultra noob startup company…

btw if you check the source code your email is in plain site, spider bots will get it so easy, as previously mentioned you need to encrypt it, there's plenty of tutorials out there.

  • +6

2000 gb of unanswered questions lol

    • Anyone who pays 3 years in advance is crazy.

This industry is very dynamic and prices are being pushed down all the time.

I would be very, very wary of this deal.

  • +2

no details, rep brushing off requests for more info, instead directing us to an email address, seems to be only interested in getting email addresses of potential customers.
don't know about anyone else, but if they can't put more details on their site, i wouldnt' be going anywhere near them…

    this isn't a bargain - it's an advertisement.

    neg from me.

    • +1

agreed, neg from me. this rep is just plain advertising for his web design services, there is actually no web hosting mentioned anywhere on the site. Fake coupon code, can't signup anywhere on the site, forced to email/call the rep, very dodgy. -1 until clarifications.

  • +2

studio5.com.au is seems to be hosted with ixwebhosting - I hope clients aren't signed up with them.

    http://maps.google.com.au/maps/place?cid=8673440405064059941…

That's the business address according to the ABN number, yet on hotfrog.com.au the address is here:

    http://maps.google.com.au/maps?hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=wpg…

This website also seems to be run by the same guy:
    http://24x7payments.com/
and yet the address is as follows:
    USA, Outsourcing India
    UDHYOGNAGAR, WAGHODIA ROAD
    BARODA, NA 390019
    IN

In conclusion, it seems he is residing in Melbourne on a Spouse Visa (Student Dependent).

Dodgy Indian outsourcing at its best. Case closed Sherlock!

  • Dodgy.

    • I think by percentages, this is the most negged deal.
