Appeared on both my Amex Qantas Discovery main card and supplementary card.

OFFER TERMS
Save the offer to your eligible Card and spend $160 or more on that Card, in one or more transactions, online at myer.com.au only by 4/11/16 to receive one $40 credit. Limited to the first 10,000 Cards to save the offer.
Offer is limited to one credit per registered Card. Only spend on the Card number you register counts towards the Offer.
Excludes transactions where you do not spend directly at myer.com.au. For example, purchases made through a third party payment processor like PayPal.
Excludes in-store purchases. Offer valid at Myer Online Australian website only.
Credit is not redeemable for cash or other payment form.
Credit should appear on your billing statement within 5 business days from qualifying spend but may take up to 90 days from offer end date.

      Doesn't mentioned you can't buy gift card. What I want to know is if it's possible to buy Myers e-giftcard and then go to Myers and rebuy the Coles Myer giftcards.

          Not a problem same thing happened with David Jones online store. Purchase online at David Jones statement shows David Jones Sydney. Called them up to dispute and got the cashback. In fact they didn't even ask for the proof.

    Don't see it on any of my Amexs (both Bank and Amex issued) but suspect it is because I previously accepted Myer's offer late last year? Their offers are probably getting smarter :(

      Amex deals for Amex-issued cards never have manual links. Only the Amex Connect ones for bank-issued Amex cards.

    I can share my experience from last time. I bought gift cards through corporate gift card website and got the cashback (which was a plus because I forgot that I had that offer). Hope this helps.

      I don't think you will get one - I tried this when they had an offer a while back and gcs go through a different domain name so doesn't count for the offer.

          Some staff might not check your card so you can try using a debit card to have the money back,but not guarantteed successful.

          Yeah, because it's not a transaction reversal, but a credit. Therefore Amex won't revoke the cashback. You do, however, lose the points.

      I think you will find that you cannot get the two purchases in the same 'basket' as they checkout through different domains.

      This offer allows you multiple transactions to achieve $160 anyway,but giftcards are not bought on Myer's main domain.
