nice find, i need one for my ipad air.
For iPad Air, take a look at the Wirecutter article on the best keyboards. Stay away from Zagg though, I bought one on Gumtree with a backlight and it keeps losing the pairing. I emailed them about it and they shipped me one for free from the US as a replacement, but a different model without backlight because the one with backlight was discontinued.
I had the Logitech one for iPad Air and while it always had a strong connection, it only had one position, the Zagg one in better in that respect as it has a laptop-like hinge.
I have both and I definitely love the Logitech one better. It is definitely heavier then the Apple one but the keyboard feels a lot better. I also love how the case definitely protects both sides of my iPad REALLY REALLY well. It gives me complete confidence when I slip it into my backpack or luggage.
I would recommend getting this over the Apple one any time.
i haven't bought one for my 10 yr old son yet, but i totally i agree with you.
I have one too, but I find it really adds bulk and weight to the iPad. As for quality, it's great and the keys have a good feel to them.
However, I find I'm taking it off more than I am using it.For me, if you don't own a laptop, the pro and this keyboard case are a great solution, but if you do own a laptop (as I do, MacBook retina which is lighter and smaller than the iPad Pro and this keyboard) you may find yourself using the laptop more.
The other issue I find is that if you use it on your lap, the screen angle just isn't right. If you are using it on a table top the angle is fine.
Can't comment on this Logitech but I find that Apple's fabric covered keyboard feels a bit weird.
But that's just me.
I use the Apple smart keyboard and the weight, feel and viewing angle seems all good. Really keeps you iPad as just an iPad and not a laptop as such
Thanks OP. Been waiting on these to come down. Picked up last one from Harbour Town.
Coming from a UAG case with the inbuilt Apple Pencil holder, I just purchased those adhesive pencil holders (2 of them from Officeworks) to this Logitech case. With some strong sided tape, they work a treat.
How does this compare to the Apple version?
