If it takes 2.5" HDDs then yes.
Maxtor, retro naming brings back memories.
Would this go ok in a Ps4?
apparently the 2Tb drive I mention in my comment, below, will work in a PS4 if that helps
This is an excellent price for a 1Tb drive. If you'd like exactly twice the size for exactly twice the money…
(inb4 gigabyte/gibibyte/partridge/pear tree)
As a point of interest, I just bought the Seagate Expansion 2Tb Portable from Orificeworks for $118.00. It was the cheapest accessible (ie: a store I could get to easily) on StaticIce, a couple of the obscure computer shops were a dollar or two cheaper.
No shipping or waiting if you happen to be near an OW store.
I cracked it open to get the hard disk out to use in a laptop server I'm building. There's a 2Tb 5400rpm Samsung SATA drive inside. Various places on the web say that this will work in a PS4. It worked fine in the Dell laptop I'm using. I didn't measure the thickness of the drive, but it was thin enough that the first time I installed it the whole drive slid in above the SATA connector in the laptop. Interesting time debugging that one! :-)
Can this be installed in a laptop?
