Just got an email from MWave on their group deal. $60 bucks for a head phone is decent considering I was looking to get a Dr. Dre for 6 times the price.

Given Beats' initial marketing (Lil Wayne Wearing $1 Million Beats by Dre), it is a damaged brand among audiophiles and audiophilia is mostly marketing.
@AlexF: Most audiophiles appear to be delusional and readily accept pseudo-science explanations before science mostly because in science's version of reality they aren't gifted with ears that are better than anyone elses.
No amount of pseudo-science will make Beats sound good:)
Just like telling time isn't the point of a Rolex watch purchase, sounding good was never the point of Beats or these wannabes.
