really missed the touch screen
Using a touchscreen anywhere to do something as basic as changing volumes is pretty … inconvenient.
But certainly a lot quicker than opening the app, waiting for the hub to sync to the app and then selecting the device you want to control, choosing the device and then changing the volume.

I love my Logitech Harmony Ultimate One Touch that I got at around half price thanks to OzBargain.
The big pluses for this one compared to that:
Definitely an upgrade.
I don't have to stretch past the touch screen to hit the play/skip buttons.
I love how lazy this is but this is the laziness that makes the difference. I buy things based incremental utility like this XD
Yep. It's actually a really poor user experience the way that my current remote is designed.
The whole point of a remote control is to cater to laziness, so I'm not going to try to hide it. ;)
I just can't bring myself to spend 200 for a remote especially when in the near furture apps will control all you devices
Apps can control most of my media equipment, I never use them. Far prefer a physical controller with real buttons that doesn’t have to be unlocked to use. And there is the wife friendly factor too.

I can control almost everything with my phone. But why would I pull my phone out, and open and scroll through four different apps, when I could just click a single button on the remote labelled 'watch a movie' that turns on my projector, amp, media player, and selects all of the right inputs and menu options for all of the above? It's a no-brainer.
Logitech harmony remotes are amazing. This will be my third generation that I've used, and they only get better.
You can still use an app with this, its just that this will control everything at once, no app switching between STB, TV, AVR etc all the time.

Btw: It crashes sometimes, and other times the remote stop responding then does all the commands in quick succession.
To reset the remote you need to keep the power btn pressed for 15 secs.
Make sure you download the MyHarmony software onto a desktop computer, and use that to ensure the hub is running the latest firmware. The app suggests it will update it, but never seems to.
1st thing I did.
I also use bluetooth to control my HTPC, and this intermittently works.
My logitech K830 BT keyboard works 100%, but the Elite doesn't.

The website started listing it as "Limited Stock" again in the final hours of Tuesday, but without the "Add to Cart" button. So I got creative and changed the "Add to Cart" links on an entirely different product, and actually managed to get it into my cart. Alas, the "this item is no longer available" message popped up, so I guess there isn't actually "Limited Stock". Oh well, worth a crack. :)
Really odd they didn't allow instore pickup. I got my shipping notice, and it came from JB Kedron, not some warehouse. And of course toll took it to the airport, probably drove right by my house on the way… :P
It's all pretty crazy. Whilst it was "Out of Stock" and the only button was "Find a Store", if you clicked it and searched, there wasn't a store anywhere that had stock. This morning if you click on Pickup and check store stock, there's a handful of stores near me that suddenly have stock. I wonder how low I could drive them if I went in there…

That's odd! I got a notification email that mine was shipped however never received any tracking information in the email.
Did they ship it via Toll or Auspost?
EDIT: Called up JBHIFI whom gave me the tracking number and it ended up being a Toll rather than Auspost.
Called up Toll and told them to redirect from Australia Post Parcel locker to a home address.
I wish they would tell us who they were shipping with/provide tracking earlier!

I've had both the past Harmony One and the more recent Harmony Ultimate. Actually really missed the touch screen on the Ultimate as if you needed to jump to a certain device to change the volume or a setting quickly, you had to do it through the phone app which got tiresome so loving that this seems to have the best of both older remotes features!
As mentioned above - great seeing the OzBargain community helping others by posting codes that they won't be using for others to take advantage of. Gives me warm fuzzies. :)
