Not the greatest star rating…. Get what you pay for I guess.

I got a Fujitsu this size with an Ebay sale and Fujitsu gift card…

Can you please tell me when you ever sold that unit for $1100?
Google cache shows no history of that page…

    • Hi, the RRP by manufacturer is $1,100 and we have advertised that price in our physical stores. Thank you for you interest!

        https://www.accc.gov.au/business/pricing-surcharging/display…

Depending on individual circumstances, businesses using statements such as 'savings' or 'discounts' when comparing a sale price to the recommended retail price (RRP) may be misrepresenting potential savings if the product has never been sold at the RRP or the RRP does not reflect a current market price.

You've never sold it for $1100, and no one is selling it for $1100 right now…

      • I see no information about delivery cost.

This is ozbargain we don't pay rrp. The rrp $1,100 is an absolute rip off. This should be the standand price for these no name units.

I have a cheap Chinese 7.5kw air con and a 3.5kw Fujitsu air conditioner. The Fujitsu one is far superior. I would never buy an unknown brand again. As said above, u get what u pay for.

I don't know if you get what you pay for as Fujitsu and Panasonic can be had for that price from the Good Guys with the cash backs, but I agree about the Chinese no-name air conditioners as I have a couple and they are crap and it is sad to see good brand name compressors and so much copper going into land fill.

  • Before you guys start calling this no-name chinese brand at least google it…

Teco is a TAIWANESE brand which is known for making electrical motors and it is the top 3 global motor producer. It is founded in 1956…

They do make air-conditioners and refrigirators (cos they all use motor… although their forte is in the larger motors…) but this is only a small side (20%) of its business and it's presence in Australia is small… so I won't see them as a no-name brand

My friend has Teco air-conditioner and it is working well. (I personally use Daikin but Teco dont have business in Sydney when I was looking for one, but I think ejoy is the only place that has Teco)

but yeah, RRP doesnt look realistic… that 2.4kw system does not cost that. (My friend's Teco was not expensive… it was actually on the cheaper side compared to the japanese brands from memory).

  • Teco is not a no name brand, every installer I've spoken too says great things about Teco, i'm not sure why…
(one had seven of them in his own house)

    • Probably pay great commissions.

  • have you got cheap rates for installation?

$599 is an OK price for an aircon for the bedroom but $1099 is a bit of a stretch. Just as a reference I purchased a Mitsubishi HI 2.5KW for $659( $759-$100 cash back and 20% off ebay) a few months back.

    Thanks OzBargain !
