Free shipping from China isn't a bargain.

    • Not everything is from China. I bought something last nighht apprently legit Oz product. Saw other stuff coming from USA though. Went to make another similar item order today and saw $9.95 post being addded. Knew or saw nothing about free post on first order last night, figured it was just part of the 'sale' deal. :)

    • I have bought loads of stuff from these guys, waiting for some leather jackets arriving at the moment, coming from the UK. Bought plenty of clothes posted to me from warehouses here in Australia, I don't think I've ever received anything from China but I have only ever bought clothes and shoes, never bought any electronics etc from them. Their postage can be very slow but I have had some great bargains. Wearing a genuine high quality leather jacket today that was $150, the PVC copy jackets cost nearly that much at the local Westfield.

    • OZsale kinda sucks the big one but they do have some nice stuff sometimes— I got free shipping on some canvas prints at 5 dollars a canvas once. They are huge and they shipped them all individually, not sure how much it cost them but they are really high quality and I have them on my wall now.

Obv this is not in interest to the demographic of OzBargain but I have gotten a bunch of branded makeup from the US, Benefit, The Balm, OPI etc some of them (City Color) makes the best mascara I've ever used, and Bh Cosmetics is fantastic quality cheapie brand, they are legit US sites— when I lived in the US I bought from their sites directly, in AU it was cheaper to use OzSale to get it.

They also have a lot of AU branded stuff like Esprit, Cotton On, Typo, Jeanswest, Elle McPherson/Heidi Klum Intimates, Bendon etc. Yes, all the Homewares Tech and Bedding and stuff is mostly crappy stuff from China and you can usually get the exact same thing on ebay but cheaper (esp any 'Swarovski' jewelry), but for certain things its not too bad. They also often lower the price over and over when things don't sell. I find it a lot better than COTD and other similar sites in that vein like BrandsExclusive, even though they are similar.

EDIT: The trick is you really gotta know your products to know whether or not it's a bargain, though, and shop around. They definitely do hide close to RRP stuff in there, or over RRP, so you gotta be careful. But there is some good stuff intermingled, and sometimes they give up and do bulk clearance.

  • Always been like that.

  • Cheers OB
