I am new to OzBargain and buying items on Ebay. Few days ago I got tempted to buy a Nexus 5x from DWI on the Ebay store. After paying for it, I have not got an email from DWI confirming if they received the payment or if the product is shipped or a URL to track the package.
I am getting worried or is this the normal process?
When I got to the ebay site for the order it just has Estimated delivery Between Thu. 29 Sep. and Tue. 4 Oct.
Did you pay via PayPal? If so did you get an email from PayPal confirming payment?
I would contact seller and ask for confirmation of payment, status of purchase, expected delivery date, shipping vendor and tracking number.
Since the only date you have for delivery is Oct 4(using max date provided), Oct 5 I would contact seller if item has not arrived, and ask for an update.
If not happy with response, or lack of, file a case with PayPal for item not received.
Best to do this stuff immediately you feel there is/may be a problem.

I never got 3 and my est. delivery date they sent was 27-30 Sep. Is the tracking link available from your ebay account orders page?
Hi common mistake of new buyer is that they may not commit to the payment itself thus no payment meant order will not be processed. You should get a copy of PayPal payment to be sure you paid for it. And the other you may use bank funded PayPal payment which took ages to clear. If you do NetBank make sure the numbers are all correct. Hope this helps.

Now I got a reply from them they are out of stock and will have to wait a few more weeks. I shouldn't have gone against my instinct and purchased from an overseas Asian reseller, you can't even trust their cooking oil.
Ask them to refund and cancellation? Make sure cancellation based on no stock item, not anything else as then seller will get seller defect from the non performing transaction.
If the cancellation is based on a non no stock item, you need to report eBay customer service regarding the seller falsifying the cancellation reason.
Remember not to threaten the seller for any negative feedback as it's against under feedback extortion.
They offered refund and cancellation, I wonder how long it will take. Where is the option to make sure the cancellation is based on no stock item. I have a feeling because I am a new user they targeted me. I also miss out on the 15% ebay discount.
I am going to stick to buy from actual shops, too many slimy scums online.
I don't think it's out of the ordinary.
