I bought the G933 for the same price so this seems a bit expensive. The $148 deal Jase2801 posted seems decent. I really like the G933 which I think this is just the wired version.

Just as an easy point of reference, http://www.staticice.com.au/ is good for a quick comparison

Gaming anything are normally a rip off.

Headsets are just highly overpriced headphones with questionable sound, garish designs, and a cheap mic tacked on.

Spend the same money on a decent set of circumaural headphones with good soundstage and positioning, and a seperate microphone (you can buy ones that stick onto headphones with double sided tape or magnets) and you will be much better off.

    • Some people just prefer an all in 1 with decent sound, and not having to worry about having a second unit for microphone.

      • The solution I was suggesting would be the same, the cords run together with two plugs on the end, the muc and phones permanently attached to each other.

The other advantage is that if one of them starts to play up, mic is no good, lose sound in one ear, etc, you can replace just the faulty part. But it's unlikely, as quality non-gaming marketed stuff tends to last almost forever anyway.

You're right though, diffrent strokes etc.

  • I use headphones (Sennheisser HD451) and the mic in my webcam. #pro :D

  • Just staticIce has them at $174 at wireless1.com.au, and eBay may be even better.

  • much cheaper on eBay, Mate :/
