$2 for 10 Nespresso Compatible Pods Including Shipping @ Easy Pods

180

Hi Oz-bargainers.

Looking to push out a few sample packs of 10 for my new nespresso compatible coffee pods.
Running a special deal of $2 for 10 pods.

Now I know you guys can be brutal here so I'm asking that:
1) Please only take up the offer if you do use coffee pods
2) Feel free to give website and product feedback - but be kind
3) If I get more than 100 orders then I will have to pause the offer.

Would love feedback on the $0.50/pod regular price relative to the offer.

thanks

Might just be me that feels this way but it's quite annoying that I have to enter my name and email before proceeding through to the next step.

I was only interested in seeing what products you had to offer first before making a decision on whether to purchase from you or not. It's a shame that I can't do that unless I provide you with my personal information first.

    • +1

This the situation you need a prepaid credit card to brush off this kind subscription.

      • +2

I need to make the whole subscription thing clearer I think.

Maybe I can make a one click subscription option.
that way if you like the trial you can just click one link to order the bulk pack, what do you think?

        • +3

Anyway,I ordered with a small balance prepaid VISA card,no way to charge $59.95 next time.

        • you want people to try your product and come back, you don't want to come across as a pushy salesperson and push people right away so just relax a bit. the sample is not free so you are already going to get your target audience. let people see the products and be able to choose want they want afterwards.

    • I hear you. I made it like that so that I can email people who have trouble and understand the problem.
Else I just had people leaving and I didn't know why.

      • +2

I made it like that so that I can email people who have trouble and understand the problem.

Oh COME ON…. what a load of BS.

You made it like that in a pathetic attempt to use the $2 offer to create a mailing list.

Else I just had people leaving and I didn't know why

        1. This way, you don't get any clients, and you don't know why.

        2. If they are leaving, they are NEVER going to tell you why. Because they don't like what they got.

      You have not complied with:-
      2) Feel free to give website and product feedback - but be kind

  • +5

I get the following message during the process. At this stage I'm only after the 10 sample pods to try them out and not sign up for something.

"We will deliver an Easy Pods 10 pack trial for $2.00. Shipping is FREE!
After your trial, we will send you an Easy Pods 120 pack every 120 days for $59.95, still with free shipping!"

    • +1

So if you have 2 coffee a day,it means they will start to charge you soon after 5 days?

    • +1

good point, I need to change that

  • +1

No information about the pods on the website. How many different types of pod are there? What flavour intensity etc?

    • +2

      One one type of pod.
I think of it like a cafe, I have my coffee that I think is the best ;)

But I do need to write more about the flavour, good point.

  • +3

    Just ordered - I'll give you a try :)

Just to be clear I'm only agreeing to $2/once off. Please confirm I have not entered into any subscription at this stage (it's not terribly clear on the site).

Looking forward to trying something different, thanks.

    • +1

      Hey Travis,
      No subscription for you.
But I will follow-up to ask if you'd like to subscribe ;)

      • Yes that's fine - I'll be honest, they'll need to impress for me to commit to ongoing 50c/pod… But let's see :)

Slightly concerned by your past 2 deals however - for the sake of clarity what is/was your relationship with that mob? Is that mob the same that are also offering this current deal?

    • ^^this

  • Do you pay for machine repairs if nespresso deems the warranty has been void?

    • +1

no sorry, although I'm not a lawyer I'm pretty sure they can't do that.

Of course, I'm confident our pods are perfectly safe ;)

      • Another question rep, how recyclable are your pods? Do i have to empty the coffee out?

        • yes, you can't recycle the coffee.
it makes good garden food though.

    • +1

yeah, I think it was pretty poor how nespresso re-engineered the newer models with weaker internals to counter people buying other brands.
Older machines are perfectly fine and built stronger.

  • +1

Even $2 for 10 is still around $30/kg, so more expensive than buying beans or pre-ground at the frequent discount prices.
Then there is the massive problem of increased garbage created by pods. Millions per day globally heading for landfill.

    • +3

but really cheap in the Pod world.

    • +4

you must be fun at parties ;)

    • Yeah the negative externalities are not taken into account in the pricing - otherwise this product would not be affordable.

It states 'recyclable', but I'm yet to see any evidence that these plastic pods or capsules are recycled by Australian recyclers, noting they would need to remove the organic component prior to processing (and I doubt customers are doing that / nor encouraged to do so).

  • +1

Ordered but after checking OP's past deals….looks dodgey.

    • Hey Jack,
You'll have shipping tracking details tonight

  • Negging due to copious problems regarding non-delivery for 2 deals Associated OP posted earlier this year. It is therefore especially disconcerting OP now has the audacity to say "I know you guys can be brutal here" while expecting purchasers of this "bargain" to provide personal information before viewing products.

    • Hey PJC,
Totally get were you're coming from.
Hopefully people on this thread can confirm their courier tracking emails with dates.

      • Hopefully people on your other threads received refunds.

        • that was not my business - I was just doing the marketing.

        • @monkeyman: You posted both deals as Associated OP. Did everybody receive refunds?

        • [I don't know PJC.
I was just 'associated' my job was to drum up customers.
I don't have that level of viability.

I am in total control of this business though, you'll see the positive comments on here by Wednesday.

        • Viability? Your capability of growth and development is irrelevant to this issue. Ask those who gave you the job to drum up business whether your fellow OzBargain members all received goods or refunds.

Now you are in total control, you have not stated how many sample packs you will "push out". Is that number a secret?@monkeyman:

    • +1

      Ooh sfer

Yeah I hope that 'business' has failed miserably

  • Damn you ozbargain!
I can't resist cheap coffee, even if the guy does have a dodgy history :-)

    • Hey Bundy
Might take a little longer to ship to Tassie.
Should be with you by Thursday but maybe even as fast as Tuesday.

Let me know if you like the coffee ;)

  • +1

ordered. but concerned about further ongoing charges.

    • Won't charge you unless you confirm to my email 10 days after the trial pack is sent

  • +1

i really like the look of the website, the flowing beans are relaxing its user friendly, easy to understand - great job there. you have a good attitude too.

    • hate the fact your offering a sample pack and forcing automatic subscriptions.

for this reason i didn't sign up for the sample.

    • +1

      Hey Kima,
I've had that feedback from lot of people.

New plan will be $5 for 10 pods with free delivery (including mentos)

then the subscription will be a one click option after you realise how great the pods are.

For what it's worth no one is being added to a subscription until I get the OK from them after the sample.

  • +1

Thought this might be a good deal but at 50c per pod you're no cheaper than other nespresso-compatibles in the market (including those that can be purchased from Woollies for around 37c per pod in packs of 10).

There is also the Kogan 100-pack available for $38 (38c per pod).

Based on this I can't give the deal a positive vote.

    • excellent logic.

that's why I never pos vote any wine deals because "I can buy clearskins from DM for ~$2.20"

      • I don't think you can compare Nespresso pods to wine (although I am firmly in the camp of people who think expensive wine is a scam).

In any event, we have no basis to assume that the OP's Nespresso-compatibles are better than those available at the supermarket/Kogan for similar money. I'm not sure why we should give the OP the benefit of the doubt in this regard.

        • the benefit of the doubt comes from this deal. rather than committing $59.95 for a bucket of pods, you can get 10 delivered for $2 to try them

let me know where else you can get 10 pods delivered for $2. and if they do suck then it's only $2. if they are the same quality of the cheapest supermarket pods then 10 for $2 is still cheaper than the cheapest supermarket pods.

P.S. I do think most expensive wine is a scam. there is good expensive, there is bad expensive wine. there is also good inexpensive wine and bad inexpensive wine

        • @altomic: The problem is that this deal isn't a straight "10 pods for $2" deal. Its an offer to sign up to an expensive regular pod-purchase plan. Where one needs to obtain a limited-value prepaid credit card just to thwart the intent of the deal (to sign up as many customers as possible and hope that most of them forget or neglect to cancel) does not qualify for a bargain IMO (no more than those old gardening magazines that offered a pair of FREE secateurs so long as you signed up to an overpriced 12 month susbscription are 'bargains').

        • @xyron: that is what I was concerned about but read this

  • +1

I jumped on this last night as my coffee stocks were low. Early arvo now and I've already received the pods. After trying out most if not all the pod brands available at Coles and Woollies pods I'd say these are certainly better quality than the Coles/Woollies branded ones (admittedly those are god-awful), and depending on tastes, are a fair improvement on any other brand available at the supermarket. I usually grab the L'OR espresso "Ristretto" pods at 40-60c/pod (depending on specials) but considering these are delivered and taste better I'm pretty happy with the price. I was a bit sceptical at first given the comments above but gotta say the whole experience has been pretty slick. Quick/transparent delivery, good tasting pods and free mentos in the box to boot. Cheers!

    • Thanks for the feedback.
You get the bonus of living in the same city as me which makes delivery faster.

  • I would try your sample pack.

But even the couple posts above about sending confirmation email, I clicked closed the web page.
Regardless what's said above, your web page still says your signing up to a subscription.

I've tried Coffee With Bite, Must, Woolies, and a couple others since getting our pod machine recently……there's plenty available. You need to stay competitive.

  • +1

I got my order, delivered by Courier Please(via Sendle?) in Sydney.

    • +1

I use Sendle because they offer good online tracking and are a company sticking it to the standard (poor) postal system in Australia.

    • Hey Neokia.
Did you get the tracking link from Sendle ok?

  • +1

I will give them a try…note I clicked on the "TRY OUR SAMPLE PACK Just $2 for 10 pods with free delivery." and as I was going through the ordering process I nearly missed the check box "Send me a $2.00 trial pack of 10 pods first. Free delivery". Just wanted to let fellow OzBarginers know and also suggest to monkeyman to add that checkbox to the first page of the process just above the NEXT button so that it can't be missed :)

    • +1

      Nice idea Billbob.
Will try and change this process today

  • +1

received pods. I like the taste. no "plasticy" after taste. no overt bitterness. had 4 so far. enjoyable.

    • Cheers Altomic !!

  • +2

I've taken on the feedback here and the $2 offer is now clear and obvious.
    No subscription.

    1) grab the $2 trial pack
    2) see if you like the coffee
    3) then choose if you want to subscribe or not

    Simples

    • +1

      Simples…

And grabbed a trial pack based on your update

      • nice one ;)

  • No postage to WA. No subscription will be possible either then…..

    • +1

      Hey mate.
WA is OK. Just sent off two deliveries to Perth today.
But courier only going to major cities.
Anything too remote or regional can't be done.

I'm still working that out the exact criteria but towns with a population less than 40,000 seem to be tough.

      Sorry about that.

  • Hi Guys,
Most of you should have received your deliveries by now.

    How'd it go?
Did the tracking via Sendle work?
    How's the coffee?

    cheers

    • I thought that the coffee tasted exactly like the Perfetto Roma pods that Catch of the Day sell…

Unfortunately that's not a good thing.
