I have one of these USB OTG drives and what a poor design!
    So close, yet so far!
It's supposed to go on a keyring, but the lid is too big.. I ended up trimming a corner off it.
And in use as an OTG drive, the keyring prevents the drive from inserting fully. I haven't come up with a solution to this yet!

    • Wow, that sounds bad and I was actually considering buying one of them but I decided not to because I bought a similar 128gb usb from an earlier deal. I appreciate the warning though and I'm sure others will too.

      • Possibly a D shaped keyring might work, but they're rare as hens teeth!
Or using some sort of soft/woven nylon loop?

It's absolutely fine. Solid design and less likely to fall apart compared to the ones from sandisk.

        Here's mine.

Why did you reply twice? With 2 different photos?

        • I see if that's the case I'll probably go buy one for myself since I do have a samsung phone and I could use another usb.

        • @scubacoles: That message was probably aimed at me and it's nice that he showed an actual photo of it.

        • @scubacoles: Because it was a different reply to two different people??? Different photo's because i'm trying to get different points across..?

That's not how it's supposed to be done. You're supposed to thread one of these through and attach it to your keyring, I've got a bunch of them lying around.

It's works fine, I got this over the sandisk ones because it appears much more solid. The sandisk has moving mechanisms and seem to be more prone to falling apart

      • Be nice if Samsung included one..
I buy a keychain USB drive, I expect to be able to thread it onto my keyring out of the pack, not receive it and then have to buy something else to make it fit!
        Where do you get them?
Might be good for a short term solution, but I'm going to hang out for a source of D or otherwise angular keyrings to pop up though. I don't trust the fabric cord to hold if I jag the USB on something.

        • I think it came from and old phone or power bank. You can always just use a string to loop them together.

Yeah it would be nice if they included one, before i looped them together i was kinda afraid that i might lose the lid. It's held in quite well, but when you remove it youve got nowhere to place it

    • I never use USB drives as a keyring.

The wear and tear from clanging against the keys, and any dust getting in from your pockets is going to reduce its lifespan.

Also, if you lose your keys, I hope you didn't have any sensitive data stored on it…
