Thanks for your postings, Trent.
8 Series with 100hz ? Haven't bought a new TV in a while however I thought 100hz was low / less favourable
I'm pretty sure the KS8000 is 120hz.
No not at all 100Hz will be perfectly fine, 50Hz is even fine in most cases
Yep JB Are more expensive on the TV's but not n the player
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Samsung-UA55KS8000W-55-140cm-… with 15% off and 36k velocity points (worth $360) is a pretty tasty deal.
"with 15% off and 36k velocity points (worth $360)"
How do you figure that? Looking at the Velocity rewards website, a $50 Target gift card is 9000 points.
with the gift vouches thats $200, but with flights 36,000 points with get you brisbane <—> perth, and thats 180 (or more) each way.
I use points in a different way to you obviously.
FYI the KS8000 series has been rated as one of the top 4K tellies for gaming with very low input lag.
I've been looking at this one for a while and I might snap this deal up. See review below:
http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/ks8000
Only issue is 120hz at 1080p doesnt seem to work without motion interpolation according to the review..
I'd love to get one of those Samsung SUHD but everytime I go to do it I think "wait for the NBN".
It all about the 4k HDR steaming.
Anyone thinks the 55KS8000 will be cheaper by Christmas? Have been aiming for this TV for few months.
Course it will, everything will be cheaper by xmas :)
The Samsung TV's may qualify for 36,000 Velocity Points as well, so long as The Good Guys still give you the same invoice as an in store sale - see https://www.samsung.com.au/promotions/tv-av/suhd-tv-velocity… for more details.
