Just note that they can't process refunds in store if purchased via PayPal.

  • Thanks for finding some bargains, hopefully it will keep jv happy.

      Uniqlo: yes, paypal: hell no.

      ?

To me, Uniqlo is the equivalent of Cotton On - basics - but much higher quality and definitely worth what you're paying. Unlike the latter, it won't fall apart after two uses.

It's certainly not 'cheap'/tacky and even on sale/promotion some items are quite expensive. Happy to pay a little extra for the quality. It's one of my go-to brands for basics and comfort.

Each to their own though. Perhaps leave your comments to yourself next time and let those who are interested in the deal enjoy it.

I never said something bad. Just shared my opinion.
Jesus! Some people cant even handle to hear a view different from theirs.

        • I think it is just a quick way to say they disagree … and nothing against you. BTW I did not neg you.

        • +3

it is because your opinion didn't hold any credible substance. Have you ever stepped inside Uniqlo store and actually saw what items are available? Sure it is a Japanese store but it offers a universally accepted functional clothing style with hardly any branding or logo.

Do thermals, jeans, joggers, t shirt, cable sweater, turtleneck tops, pea coat, chinos, plain business shirts, flannelette, tote bag, down vest "scream" Japanese fashion to you? I think not.

Over 20 negative votes say different. Your derogatory and generalist comments would go down well under a YouTube vid, but not here.

@rawm: being downvoted means nothing. Right is right.

  • Keep hearing about this heattech … bought just to see if they really work. What do the others who have worn heattech clothes think? Are they really warmer than other similarly thin layers bought from elsewhere?

    • +6

don't know about warmer… what the main thing is for me it hasn't shrunk or lost shape after many washes.

    • +1

Not really, the fabric is definitely comfortable, elastic and breathable but it doesn't really generate warmth for me. You're better off with merino wool.

      • Oh OK. Thanks for your feedback. Slightly disappointed, but at this price still OK as an extra layer.

        • +1

Yep, the material is really thin so I wear it as an extra layer with a t-shirt underneath.

I've only ever owned a Heattech long-sleeve until recently. Went and bought myself a pair of Heattech pants.

      Crazy warm.

No joke, given the freezing winter we've just had in Adelaide, my legs have never been more toasty. They're much warmer in my Heattech pants than in jeans. That, and they're extremely comfortable. I bought a second pair of pants.

Agree with the above comment: the inner layer is decent and it's much more comfortable than wearing a thick long sleeve. Would highly recommend the Heattech outerwear though.

      • Thank you for your feedback.

It works IMO. Bought one last year and went for a run on a damn cold Melbourne day with just the heattech long sleeve shirt on. Somehow keeps the wind out and you stay reasonably comfortable. Definitely worth the purchase to try as they're quite well priced.

    • +1

They are definitely warmer than similarly thin and comfortable underwear

  • Has anyone returned stuff and claimed it via Paypal's free returns? Uniqlo deducts $7 from your refund as opposed to you paying for shipping so not sure if you could do it.

    • +1

Just did a PayPal return shipping refund recently for another store, and there is an option for if the store deducts the shipping amount from the refund amount so you will be fine.

  • Does anyone know if sizing is universal? I bought some airism crew neck t-shirts from Japan in large (which fit great) but unsure if I should get medium or large from Uniqlo AU.

    • +1

it's not, Im XL tshirt Japan and L tshirt America/Australia. So +/- 1 size seems to work for me, YMMV

      Japan L = Australia M

  • Thanks OP! got some t shirts :)
