From memory, the Krispy Kreme stores at Sydney airport are all inside security. I wonder if they let people with hooks through?

      • +2

        wouldn't that be pirate discrimination?

    • Prefer tryin this line, but alas misplaced me wooden leg:

"Avast ye scurvy weasels! Get below decks and make me batch of Krusty Kreme Booty, afore I be tyin ye all to the mast and shovin em up yer salty arrr's"

    • +1

I wonder if they'd reject a guy with a peg leg and a parrot on his shoulder that unfortunately happened to wear a synthetic belt that day.

  • +1

Isn't it just easier to make a new account on the 7 eleven fuel app and get a free donut

    Takes 1 day to appear

    • but this is for a dozen!

      • +2

If you dress up like a pirate . It would probably cost you more for a pirate outfit lol, so not really free for everyone unless you already own the outfit

        • +4

last time I found things I already had in the car

        • +3

          @impoze: hook, peg leg, parrot?

last year i bought a kids pirate costume(eyepatch, bandana, hat, gun, gold coins) for about $5 at a shop novelty shop so its worth it.

  • +30

They were out of stock last time I went, that was ridiculously embarrassing. Took a lot of courage and $10 to get the costume. They said they'd cook more in 2-3 hours time which I've never heard before ever. Unfortunately I had to entertain guests that night.

Make sure you call fist. I'm definitely not missing out again this year.

      I lol'ed, that's hilarious

Me and my friend must have pirated away all the donuts before you came! Arrrrr

Well, we got two boxes anyway in Syd last year for wearing double denim, brass chains, boots, badanas and embarrassing Ed hardy shirts with gold glitter and skull motifs scrawled on them…

Half hour wait, hour round trip on the road guzzling petrol in an old corolla for donuts but worth it!

And yes they made us say the line on the print out whatever it was… Something about loot or treasure or some pirate phrase. And it had to be in a 'pirate voice'. They turned away normal dressed folk trying to access it by just saying pirate stuff. It is 'talk like a pirate day' I guess.

SO IMPORTANT: if you go there just reciting the phrase posted here and not dressing up they will not give it to you, also I think we handed in the print outs but maybe they were just collecting rubbish or making sure we brought one because I don't recall there being a unique barcode last year. We both brought along the instruction print outs just to be safe though in case they were denying it (as proof of the promotion) but when we got there there were about sixty people lining up out the door.

There would have been mutiny if they denied us all. It would make for fun headlines though. "Krispy Kreme store near Botany Bay denies patrons dressed as ye olde pirates from the 1700s donuts". "Disgruntled pirates pillage KK store fleeing with thousands of donuts and other sweets".

    • Who is fist?

Finally, all that Wiggles & Captain Feathersword with the kids is gonna pay off…

  • How does one talk like a Pirate? Maybe express outrage over the Kickass take down and talk torrent speed?

  • Well they more or less let zorro through the airport.. so why not a pirate.

  • I am lucky to be flying from Brisbane to Sydney that day with the wife. Hoping for 4 boxes!
Every year I just google images for hat, patch etc. and print it out and make the paper versions.

Krispy Kreme SA have announced that they are also taking part in the promotion:

One per person, 19/9 9am-9pm, give away is limited to 1,500 doughtnuts.
Only available in South Australia and not available at OTR Krispy Kreme, North Terrace.

    Facebook Event

  • An awkward question…

If Johnny Depp (in or out of Cptn Jack Sparrow costume) and Amber Heard and Barnaby Joyce all rocked into the Brisbane Airport Qantas Terminal store together would KK see the humour of it and offer them doughtnuts?

    What's the secret phrase?

  • Can I sue if I get diabeetus?

  • Are straw hat, unbuttoned red shirt, and folded jeans counted as pirate costumes?
