It toke me a while to get this reference. Glad she's finally faded into insignificance.
Bummer a bit short notice, but might pan out nicely with some sub $800 airfares i'm seeing atm.
would love a bit more time tho.
Just remember price don't include (till you get to last page), Tax 8% and Service charge 13%. A hotel deal that came up as 18000 yen became 21967. Not bad, but the dates that I want are in the blackout period i.e. some dates in December.
You pay those taxes and service charge in full price too. I stayed at Hilton Odaiba @50% off, fantastic hotel & services, great view, got a complimentary upgrade.
1) Buy HHonour points when they have a promo (BOGOF etc).
2) Use points to buy specials (buy 4 get 5th night free during busy week).
3) Stays paid with points do not pay taxes.
Great idea, things to consider are, rate at which you are redeeming, points devaluation (so maybe not a good idea to buy and store points for a long time), availability(?), for certain hotels which cost 10k per night, and hotels like Conrad Maldives or Koh Samui, this method can save heaps, if planned properly.
Couldn't find anything for the hotel I stayed at in April in Toyko Bay.. :(
Stay period: In between 6 Sep 2016 and 28 February 2017
That's a long period.
Was referring to when I went earlier this year :)
Thanks OP! I am heading to Japan next month. Perfect timing :)
WOW!! lucky you.
Im also heading to japan soon
Ive found that cheap smallish hotels.
Not capsule hotels.
No breakfast or room service.
More like simple busienss hotels are like 7000 yen in the city
How much would the hilton etc be?
If its only a few 1000 more id consider it
What dates are you looking at? and which cities. I generally find Tokyo & Nagoya to be more closer in pricing (but still a few thousand more). There are quite a lot of cheaper options for Osaka, Fukuoka and such.
Im looking at mid nov
Just central tokyo is fine. I dont mind where.
Im not very good at finding any decent accomodation withoit paying silly dollars.
two completely different target market, different offering, you are comparing apple with cucumber here. :)
Well this will come in handy for when I go in Oct and Jan! Thanks OP.
I stayed at Hilton Tokyo, Odaiba and Conrad Tokyo last month and I must say the service in Japan is far better than other Hilton's I've been to. Added bonus of getting suite upgrade for all stays.
:)
