With the money saved buy a ps3… there's your gaming!

I originally wanted to get an X201 for uni. However they had a huge delay, so I cancelled it and got an Asus UL30VT.

The battery life of the UL30VT (around 12 hours) is fantastic and it is slim and light. The only thing I didn't like as much about the X201 was it was pretty chunky with the upgraded battery.

  • Is this a bargain? Or are they going to bring out something new and prices will drop below 30%?

    • Good deal. Lenovo are pretty conservative in how often they bring out new models. The t510 is a pretty hefty upgrade over the t500 (i5 processors > core2's they had in the t500). Great build quality too.

  • Looks good, too bad I don't really want a laptop atm.

Can anyone tell me is there any week Lenovo thinkpad isn't on sale?
They never sell on RRP so why not just put a reasonable full price on their website?

  • +1

In my opinion last week deal was better, get 35% for order above 2400
or in Affinity site get 15% and 30% on top of that (order above 2400)

I was about to buy T510 with last week deal , when I compare it with this deal last week around 200-300 bucks cheaper.

  • Just to confirm, can you can get 7% cashback as well from Money Back Co … if so, this deal is getting better and better :)

    • That's really a bargin. jazzymc have you used Money Back Co. before? Are they reliable? As I will need to click links on their website to go to the lenovo's website.

      • Yes I use MBC quite a bit … very good email support as well if you have problems. Just remember they will take a $10 annual fee from your account once you earn that much, but every $ after that is yours :)

    • As far a I know, yes you should be able to use MoneyBackCo. The email I got was from their affiliation network so I guess you can get the discount + getting the commission back via MBC.

  • The coupon doesn't apply to any of the ones that I tried, can you please link the specific ones that will accept the coupon.

it applies to these ones - just was on the website and they worked.

    • ThinkPad T410
    • ThinkPad T510
    • ThinkPad X201
    • ThinkPad W510
  • Oh dear, even after the 30% discount they are more expensive than Asus and so on. Mark up a little too much.

  • Code doesn't work on Affinity site.

  • at adds up to be more than 50% off at the moment with their existing 30% sale. We use these at work and will be getting some more.
Checked the site and they do work.

    Cheers

Can be pretty hard to determine a bargain based on Lenovo's pricing/discount gymnastics.

I would say you need a figure that places a value on the ThinkPad T's quality construction and unique features. At what price is the ThinkPad a bargain compared to other manufacturers' laptops? At the same price? $200 more? $500 more? $1300 more?

If you compare the equivalent Dell Vostro 3400/3500 to the T410/T510 with the same CPU and pretty much the same GPU, under this deal you're paying $371/$375 extra for the ThinkPads.

    • I'll be comparing Latitude E6410 as an equivalent to Lenovo ThinkPad T410, and it is a lot more expensive. I am currently using a Latitude and it's a great solid business machine. Never had a Vostro (although thinking of one now for myself), but built quality wise it would not be as good as Latitude.

Another good thing about Latitude is that it surely looks better than ThinkPad (unless you like chunky design :)

  • they clear out current i3 i5 models because ULV version is coming soon,
    have a read on this:

  • Unimpressed. They had a 35% off offer just two weeks ago.
