If your palate is down for a smooth red then I'd suggest the Heredad de Baroja Cuvee Especial 2014 (6 x 750mL), Spain $55.91 WITH CODE. I've bought a few boxes of these (and the mixed Spanish reds) and really enjoyed their smoothness. The Tempranillo is similar to Merlot (my opinion - and merlots vary)

The $23 sav blanc is great for the price, I bought a case last time and is very drinkable.
