Great price! I have one of these and it is gold when I'm travelling.

    • +2

      Travelling & at home

If you are not getting speed and happiness charging quickly, make sure you have good USB cables (I run Anker)
LGG3 from 10% to 100% in about an hour
      Nexus 7 from 0% to 100% in 1 hour 20
GoPro Hero 4 Silver about three stubbies…

Guests stick their phone on for a top up, and after mooching my electricity, and stunned (pun intended)

and cos I am such a grinch, my wife has nagged me for the last 9 months to get more but I stuck to my guns

      • +4

I have blitzwolf USB cables and they've seemed quite good too

  • +3

Any chance of a good deal on cables OP? Particularly a multi-buy? After 5x 2m micro USBs a the moment/

  • Can select AU plug which is bonus….. Hate it when you get travel adapter or need to but AU plug

    • +1

FYI - the charger uses a figure-8 power cable so even if it didn't come with an AU plug you could swap it out really easily.

I just bought a white one, already have two black ones from a previous sale.

      • +1

Have you found a figure-8 adapter that doesn't have a cord? Ie it just goes AU-plug to fig-8 in one solid unit? (I like to minimize space when travelling, and have a few US-bought things to convert).

        • +1

Wouldn't the weight of this USB bank weigh down the pins and make it slip out of pretty much every overseas socket?

Edit: Oh Australian, That third pin might anchor you then.

        • @Lukian:

I bought a few of These GoPro 3rd-party wall chargers in the USA (those plugs just have a figure-8 on the back), they just output to USB so it's light.

Though of course I didn't get all the different adapters though, just the USA one… and no-one will sell me just the Oz plug!

        • +2

I used to use one that came with my apple adapters, worked fine for my camera battery charger.

          something like this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/For-iPhone-iPad-Apple-Macbook-AU-…

        • @clone: thanks! Looks great, I didn't know Apple charges had similar adapters, should make it easier to Google! The 90deg twists might make the unit hit the wall though, hopefully I can find something flat :)

        • +3

I have one however it is actually Chinese, so not approved or technically "safe". Mine is similar to the first link below, which seems legal:
          http://www.signalandpower.com/Convert-from-IEC-C7-receptacle…
          http://www.signalandpower.com/Convert-from-IEC-C7-receptacle…
          - note I found those on Google images, not sure where to buy them.

However when travelling I don't use the adaptor, as a cable is MUCH better due tio it's flexibility and adaptability. I have a 300mm moulded AU to IEC C7 cable which I often take, however to make it even better I made up some specials. For example 1 x AU plug to TWO x C7 250mm (chopped down from long cables)… one C7 for the Blitzwolf charger and one C7 for my camera charger.

When travelling locally I take a Orico 5-port USB charger that runs off 12V via a 5.5 x 2.1mm coaxial power plug. In the car I use a curly cord and Cig Lighter plug. In the hotel I use a 240V to 12V 3A adaptor that has C7 input. I have found that is the most practical and minimal way to cover everything, and the longer cables are a great advantage in the car (put charger in glovebox).

The key to finding these things is to use the correct terminology, which is C7 rather than non-specifics like "figure 8" or "kettle plug" (which is actually C13, and not used on kettles because they use C15). All these standard connectors fall under IEC Standard IEC 320, now updated to IEC 60320… refer https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEC_60320

Note that these IEC connectors (termed Appliance connectors in Australian Standards) are a "high risk" or "declared" electrical article, so for legal sale and safe use in Australia they should carry a AU approval and certification markings, and if marked with RCM should be registered on the national electrical safety database.

        • @llama: Excellent, thanks very much for the info! Yes, the correct terminology helps a lot, cheers!

      • +1

problem is a new figure 8 cable is $5 at office works or jaycar ….. so an AU cable saves $5 compared to other deals that have US or EU cables.

        • True

  • Thanks! I was just about to buy the BlitzWolf reversible micro USB cables. 10% off will be very handy.

  • so not QC2.0 or 3.0 compatible?

    • +1

It will charge QC devices but will not push 18W, only up to 12 (max 2.4A @ 5V).

  • +19

This thing works great, but I bought one from the last time they had a deal and it has coil whine issues. I have it on my bedside table and when it's quiet, you can hear the whining, constant and annoying.

    • +2

      thanks for the heads up

    • +2

That's really handy feedback for other buyers.
I'm unusually sensitive to high pitch sounds. I bought two and I haven't heard mine do that. It looks like this is an inconsistent problem.

      I love my chargers.

    • was going to buy but ugh. hate that noise. my tronsmart does not suffer from this issue

    • +8

might be your partner not the charger.

      • +3

Don't you hate it when you confuse your SO with a charger

        • +3

I was going to say that they are both quiet when you don't turn them on….

    • Same problem here.
Also have a Tronsmart one and it's totally quiet.

  • Just spent $25 on the Tronsmart QC 2.0 - 5 Port Charger last week :(

    Got this one anyway.

    • Me too. I only ordered that just before the weekend. (the same code still worked)
      Wonder which one is better?

  • Is it better than Tronsmart QC 2.0 90W 5-Port Charger from this deal?

    • +3

Well, it's cheaper, but no QC and less total power. "Better" depends on your criteria.

If your stuff doesn't have QC, get this BlitzWolf one. If your gear does have QC, get the Tronsmart one.

    • +3

This is better value but not a "better" charger based on specs. In terms of specs, the Tronsmart one is better if you need to charge 4 or more devices concurrently or if you have a device or devices which support Quick Charge that you want to take advantage of.

      • +2

I prefer the Tronsmart chargers for exactly these reasons. The extra monney is worth it.

    • That's expired tho?

      • Yes, my query was not regarding deal but the product. i already voted the deal.

        • +1

Gotcha, I wouldn't mind that Tronsmart one myself. I have the Blitz - it's also quite good though.

    • +1

my tronsmart does not suffer from the whiny noise issue.

    • the tronsmart 90w is better but also costs a lot more, I have both.

  • Which one of these would be best to use so that my Galaxy Note 7 doesn't catch on fire?

  • +4

Rep, if you can please do a deal on these cables:

    http://www.banggood.com/BlitzWolf-2_1A-Reversible-Braided-Mi…

  • +3

Tried to order but getting "The coupon has been used!"

    Is there limited use coupon?

    • Same here :S

      • Just worked for me.

        • Yeah working again… but won't let me use it with something else in my cart that's on sale :S

  • +1

    Any deals on lightning cables?

  • +1

Now more than three months of unanswered emails from Banggood after they sent me some gear that arrived DOA, then eventually promised to replace it, then… nothing since late May, despite multiple emails. Now going through Paypal dispute process after having left this far too long. If my experience is anything to go by, then take care buying from these guys.

    • That's odd, i guess they're inconsistent. I lodged a complaint about a faulty item and got a reply offering to resend it an hour later.

  • OP - It works when that is the only item in my cart.

When I add a lightning cable to the cart I get the following error:

Coupon is invalid for product with "PROMO or VIP" tag.

What's the go? Can I only order this one item?

    • What's the go? Can I only order this one item?

You cannot stack coupons and deals.

Just checkout separately. It's not hard.

      • I'm not trying to stack coupons…

One is on sale already, and i'm trying to apply the coupon to this.

Didn't want to check out separately because I was paying extra for faster postage.

        • +1

I am not defending Banggood, simply informing you how their checkout has always worked.

I'm not trying to stack coupons…

Read what I wrote - you cannot stack coupons and deals

and i'm trying to apply the coupon to this

Which you cannot apply to the lightning cable, as it is a "promo deal". Promo deals are "nett prices" so it will usually reject coupon codes like for this charger.

Didn't want to check out separately because I was paying extra for faster postage.

Then you need to look at each combination and choose which works best for you.

Often I find that splitting an order into numerous separate ones will allow separate coupons to be applied to maximise discounts. Of course I appreciate that doesn't work very well for your situation.

Also note that the faster freight will only work if all items come from same warehouse, and thus sometimes you cannot do what you want anyway. This will become apparent once you try to checkout and make payment, just note if they all get grouped together and from where.

          Anyway, good luck.

        • @llama:

Fair enough - pretty stupid system that won't let you stack a coupon and a promo deal. I understand not stacking coupons - but even still, with their free delivery, it's just costing them more when people place separate orders. More shipping cost, more processing time and cost etc etc.

Didn't know about the separate warehouse thing for faster post - i've quite often just paid the extra $4 or $5 to get the item in a week rather than 5-6 weeks.. hate waiting!

  • Do these work with Dual Shock 3 and 4 controllers? I don't have any luck with regular mobile chargers…

    • +1

I've found the simplest charging solution is a powered usb hub which is connected to the PS3.

      • I've done it that way before, but I want the chargers to be next to my couch rather than the other side of the room. :)

    • Nope, annoyingly it won't charge either for me.

    • +3

I would absoloutely, strongly recommend ONLY using a PC or PS3/PS4 to charge those, too many stories of fried controllers without smart enough circuitry to shut off an overly powerful signal.
Note, the official Sony DS4 charge stand is pretty great btw, fast charging, handy.

      • Yep, I thought it might be something like that. Advice headed (not that it worked with the BlitzWolf anyway).

      • Totally agree as I fried my ps4 controller using my Samsung S6 charger. Just use low powered charger or ps4 to charge.

  • Website broken? Can't seem to checkout

  • where can I buy the green usb thing? between the charger and mobile?

    • this?

I was curious myself, cheap enough but it would just sit in my drawer after a couple of weeks.

      • thanks man! this is the one!

  • Thanks op.

I paid the extra US$1.30 for tracking number. Opinion guys, is the tracking number worth it?

    • +1

no it's updated very slow. I got the item and it was not updated after 4 days

      • Thanks much. I'll keep in mind for future online shopping.

    • Opinion guys, is the tracking number worth it?

      Why would you want tracking?

When it arrives, it arrives. If it doesn't, then it doesn't.

Tracking doesn't change anything about the delivery speed or security.

      • +1

Whoops, I thought it increased security. As in, if it doesn't arrive, I could prove to the seller it's lost in mail and I haven't pulled a dodgey by claiming it never arrived.
So that's not what a tracking number does? =/

        • +2

yes it's correct. It's required when you need them to resend an order. In order to make sure that buyer got the order. Last time I dealt with Banggood for missing order, I paid extra $2 for them to resend it. I didn't want to argue so i paid. Overall I'd spend a little bit more ~$5 for faster delivery than tracking number alone :)

        • +1

As in, if it doesn't arrive, I could prove to the seller it's lost in mail and I haven't pulled a dodgey by claiming it never arrived.

In real life it actually doesn't work anything like that.

Firstly, you should only ever pay using Paypal for overseas purchases like this. And use a credit card to fund the paypal payment. In that way you have 2 layers of protection, however Paypal is by far the easiest, quickest and best. If and only if Paypal claim failed would you them do a chargeback via your credit card.

When something doesn't arrive, you can inform the seller if you like, however the claim is made via Paypal (not direct to the vendor themselves).

For a Paypal "Item Not Received" claim, the onus of proof is on the VENDOR to prove (to Paypal) that your delivery arrived. It is not up to the Buyer to prove that the delivery didn't arrive.

The buyer has no responsibility of proof whatsoever - if you think about it, this is completely logical. How can you prove that something didn't happen?

So that's not what a tracking number does?

          Sort of. But not really.

Tracking protects the SELLER, not the buyer. It's up to the seller to decide if they wish to protect themselves from your non-delivery claim.

The buyer paying for tracking is actually a negative security measure for the buyer. Because if the item is scanned as delivered then lost or stole, the payment for "tracking" literally proves the seller's case for them (that the item arrived).

Bottom line = there is no need for you to pay for Tracking, Insurance etc if paying with Paypal. The protection is already built in.

        • +1

          @legelas:

yes it's correct. It's required when you need them to resend an order

No need to pay extra - you are wasting your money.

Last time I dealt with Banggood for missing order, I paid extra $2 for them to resend it. I didn't want to argue so i paid

You got sucked in. If you put in a Paypal claim, you would get a 100% full refund… then use that credit to repurchase.

It is pointless trying to overthink these things, or to try and keep Chinese vendors honest.

Pay using a safe payment method, raise Buyer Protection claim if item doesn't arrive, get refund. Simple.

        • @llama: thanks, that's really useful knowledge. I'll keep in mind for future shopping.

I always go through paypal for buyer protection. But out of sheer luck, in the ~9years of online shopping I've done somehow I've been lucky enough to date to have not had to claim via paypal. (The handful of times my ebay purchases never showed up the seller always just resent or refunded in full.)

Just reading some of the comments on this thread about banggood not answering their support tickets, I figured I'd just spend another ~$2 for tracking this time. But I'll just rely on ebay with a credit card in future.

        • @llama: you are right but i paid extra $2 and got it after a week so I didn't mind

  • +1

This thing charges me Xaiomi 10A power banks faster than anything else. I should really buy another…

  • Hmm, checkout price is US$10.61/AU$14.19 for me?

    • I purchased
on screen can't remember but Paypal shows $23.89 AUD
I needed to be logged in Bangood

  • Cool. Bought

  • +3

FYI I have one of these and it makes a low humming noise.

  • everything seems fine expect this word "banggood".

    nop thanks.

Can't wait to receive this item mid-October.

Look at Mr Money bags here selecting express shipping :p

  • nice, bought 2 more of these that i dont need, damn bargains.. gotta stop myself. Emergency gifts they become.

  • So all ports are high speed? Quick Charge?

    • So all ports are high speed? Quick Charge?

No, they are neither High Speed or Quick Charge

They are standard USB ports with a total 40W (8 Amps) output from the whole charger.

Each port can output 2.4A (nominally 12W) each.

This is all explained in the description.

  • Hi Guys, i'm new to this. Don't know why but when i click on the deal it shows AU$25.41 and not $11.9. Any ideas?

    • Did you enter the coupon?

    • Same here

    • +1

apply the code above on checkout

    • try entering in lowercase, rather than copy/pasting from OP above?
seems to have worked for me.
