These cost around $4 normally at Coles, the other varieties are on special there at the moment for $3.. Expresso doesn't seems to be on the webpage. Maybe reject shop is getting rid of this special edition, hence the $1.50 price.. All the same, they taste pretty good if you like coffee!

In spelling 'expresso' sounds retarded.. but head on over to Italy, the divine espresso gods and listen to them, 2/3 will say espresso with a semi-silent x sound mixed in, it sounds like 'exspresso' (a combination of the two, no dry s sound). When you call them out on why they say it like 'expresso', they think you're silly for even thinking they're saying it wrong.. and you are.
I've spoken and studied the Italian language since I was a child. I have travelled to Italy and know people from many different parts of the country.
Even factoring in different dialects, there's never a "semi-silent x". If your story is true, you were probably listening to non-native speakers.

Not non-native. Both inside and outside Rome. Perhaps I just got lucky and ran into people who didn't know the difference time and time again.

I can't hear them pronounce it without an 'x' and hear an 'x'…
Every person I brought the argument about 'x' up with denied they weren't saying espresso. Nearly every person I heard said it with this 'x' sound.
