Hi all
Thinking of getting a new TV. Any recommendations?
Ideally :
Smart TV
Enough HDMI outputs
USB ports
Internet connectivity
LCD vs other type
50" above
Wondering where to hunt beat bargain in Perth.
Cheers

yeah i agree with this guy, he has a good idea of what to do to save money
Which android box do you have and which ones would you recommend?
I have a MX pro ii. it was ~US$23 delivered from everbuying. wifi is great for internet and youtube (tested it through 2 plaster walls and 15-20 meters).
android box - depends what you want them for.
I was looking for something to playback movies with VLC. as well as interwebz on the TV if I was bored. it does all that. It has Kodi but i haven't tried that. nor have I tried other HD streaming or whatever.
For the usage I require it does everything I need and I'm really happy with it.
Where can you buy a Dumb TV? I also had this idea long time ago but could not find one. All of them are smart.
At least:
2 usb
3 hdmi
Literally the best bang for your buck.

How reliable is this brand?
Just finished TV shopping a few weeks ago. Up to 49", you can get a good TV with smart, hdmi etc for a bit over $1k. Anything over 55" and the price seems to jump a fair bit.
We ended up with a 49" Samsung as brand and smart TV was important to us.

Samsung vs LG vs Panasonic
Which one should I pick?
Is Sony a good brand for TV?
don't get a smart TV.
You pay extra for "smart".
then when the manufacturer stops updating the software you will be left with outmoded software for your TV.
buy a dumb TV and an android box. an android box can be bought for less than $50.
the android box will be your internet connection.
how many hdmi connections do you need?
how many usb ports do you need?
On my dumb tv one of the hdmi ports is connected to the android box. i play my media (2tb portable HDD) through the box. the box has a wireless keyboard and mouse connected to it. it's all I need
