  • Maybe you should put the price in the heading.

Intel ssd are really expensive compared to other ssd brands.

    • Yep - these are NAND version that are typically used in High-end storage products! Great Performance

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but the price is incorrect. $365/$685 are the prices for the drives without the bonus 1TB drive. If you click promo 2 in the middle of the page, the prices of $395.00/$779.00 appear and only they are eligible for the bonus drive.

    • Once you add it to your cart, the discount appears.

  • Oh? Didn't see that, I'll fix it up.

  • +1

It should say "1TB HDD for $30 extra" rather than "bonus" no?

    • agreed, deceptive! It even says "FREE" not "Bonus" down the bottom which makes it even worse.

  • in the interest of saving people money, you can pickup the X-25M 80GB G2's from the USA on ebay for $286 shipped, i know i did ;)

    • +2

I bought my G2 160gb for alot cheaper overseas as well.

but in the interest of fairness, the Scorptec ones are G2R5 product code… that means its a retail product in a nice box with a proper retail warranty supported by Intel in Australia. The ones from overseas that we all get cheaper are barebones G201 and G2C1 models which are OEM.

Now personally I am happy to go OEM and pocket the price difference, but some people might not, in which case this is probably a reasonable price.

      • I bought an X-25M 80GB from eBay US, retail version for $320 delivered. Arrived in 5 days. So $365 is not a bad price for a local seller. I have no problem buying from overseas though considering the warranty period is 3 years and is direct through Intel. And with no moving parts what could really go wrong with one of these drives?

  • oh god i got mine for $350 last year imported via shipito. feel gipped now.

    • The Scorptec deal is actually:
      80GB X-25M G2 (Retail Box)for $365 (normally $395)
      160GB X-25M G2 (Retail Box) for $685 (normally $779)

Purchase either drive and receive a FREE 1TB Seagate internal SATA 3.5" HDD.

The promo code description is a little confusing, but once you add either drive to the shopping cart, they have the discount applied and the FREE Seagate 1TB HDD is added automatically.
