Audible Daily Deal Anniversary Sale: < $5 Books

140

Audio book sale at Audible, most for less than $5.

Here is the direct link if it doesn't show up on the Audible home page. Aussie users should be able to buy at least some, if not all of the same titles, but, as commenter "3" mentions below, you need to sign out and switch regions on the Audible app to access them, i.e. audible.com instead of audible.com.au.

Also, for US Amazon accounts only, Terry Goodkind's Wizard's Blood of The Fold (Bk3 or Swort of Truth) ebook at Amazon is free today: Link
Add US$1.99 for Audible narration.

Edit: fixed the ebook link and added book title
Edit2: clarifications on region issues
Edit3: replace free ebook with book 3 since book 1 offer has expired

Wizard's first rule is awesome I'm on the fourth book now

    • Thanks. I haven't read it myself (or maybe years back in high school). Just watch out, books 5 and onwards are supposed to be really awful, then gets better for the last 3, or something like that.

        Exactly like that.

Read them all, it becomes a chore to get through them. I hated how it ended also.

  • Tried the link for the Wizard's first rule - it's not free anymore (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00433TO4I)

it is if you're operating a US account

    • Sorry, I've updated the title to warn about non-US accounts.

If you don't see the sale on the front page of Audible, try this link. If you're on an Aussie account, let us know if the titles you see from this link are also on sale.

The new link works the best. Thanks OP. I have purchased a lot of these by signing up for the daily deal offer. They email you every day with a book offered for under $5 US. I usually end up getting one or two a week. I also kept my US account as the AU doesn't seem to have as many offers.

I used my Amazon AU account and though it let me make the purchase, I can't get it to show up into any of my 'other' library. For example, I can listen fine via the browser player but it won't appear on my Phone nor on my Audible for Windows 10 app.

Unless you listen to Audiobooks mostly in front of your PC, it's best then to create a separate US account, or skip out on this deal which I will. Luckily, my experimental title was only $0.99

If you normally use the app with an AU account, you'll have to sign out and then switch regions to "audible.com" before signing in again to see US purchases.

      • Thanks for that. Kinda wish the whole digital region nonsense would go away.

  • Can you transfer content between accounts aus to UK or USA?

Some good recommendations in this thread on the /audible subreddit https://www.reddit.com/r/audible/comments/4zof14/audible_ann…

  • anyone figured out how to fix the slowwwww download speed?

  • Audible books can be purchased for $3 on ebay but be aware that the author may be getting nothing from your purchase

  • Do you have to be a current member to get these prices?

As a former member, I can't even see any of these prices. The page just takes me to the "Let's get started" screen asking for money.

I wanted to know if the $5 applies to all books or just selected books. I can't find out unless I'm a member it seems, and I'm not paying to find out.

    • As a member, you should be able to get in. If you're not logged in, the prices won't show. Daily Deals are at discounted prices irrespective of being a current subscriber.

      • I'm a member with a lapsed subscription, so not a gold member.

Are all books <$5 or just selected ones? That's all I want to know.

Your link only takes me to audible.com front page. There's no mention of your <$5 sale.

        • Once you're on audible.com instead of the automatically redirected audible.com.au, just paste the link on your browser again. It should display the selection. The price ranges from US$0.99 to US$5.95. Maybe you need to log in again to get in and buy. Make note of the comment above regarding needing to switch regions in the Audible app to access books you bought from the US site if you normally use the Aussie site.

@lotsn it is not all books I would upvote 100,000 for that lol.
It's only selected books that have all previously appeared as a daily deal, about 200 in total
