Ummm… The girls in the pic are holding plastic cups…

Are you sure it's a 'Craft' beer fest?

    • +2

A beer festival with heaps of glass sounds like a great idea. Maybe you should start one?

      • -3

I don't drink beer from plastic cups, it tastes foul…

Link explicitly says : "special craft beer glass (which you’ll need)"

    • My guess would be its a stock photo

      • So those girls won't be there ?

        • Were you looking up flights to Perth? :P

plus ages under 12 get in for free!

So kids 12 and over get a free beer glass with their entry too ???

    • They wish!

      • +1

So they just pay full price and don't get the glass ??

        • Actually, it would appear they do get the glass (it's included with everyone's ticket), but they actually have to pay the $25 to get in :/

Though obviously they can use the credit towards food

Kinda strange that 12-17yos have to pay full price

It's ridiculous. They're basically subsidising the adults as they can't sample the beers but still have to pay for it.

They could at least have free cordial samples…

Lol there will be juices etc there :) it's not all alcoholic

It's just normal beer, but after sampling so much of it can't remember a ..f thing

  • Did anyone go last year? How was it?

  • +1

Can't remember if it was last year or the year before but went to the one at Freo. It was packed. Massive line to get in, huge waits to get tiny samples for $2. We paid $30 each to get in plus $2-4 samples and a couple of "full" beers (only sold half pint sized) that I think we're about $8. left after a couple of hours as we were over the lines. I felt the $120 I spent would have gone a lot further at a pub / beer garden with a good selection of craft beers. Might be better organised this year at a different location… Beer that we had was delicious.

Pay to get in, then pay for the beer.

Its the Food and Wine show again.

…and that's why you hang out on OZbargain for the free Good Food and Wine show tix that show up each year, bag yourself some..show up early on the day and avail yourself of the countless free food/wine/beer samples and leave just as the crowds get crazy (~ 1.00pm) ..feeling full, half drunk and happy..all for the cost of $0!
