Milwaukee 18V 4.0ah Brushless Hammer Drill $299 @ Totaltools.com.au (instore and online)

110

Stumbled across the catalogue from Total Tools and saw this on the front page for Fathers Day special.
I own one of these for work and I can say at this price with 2x 4.0ah batteries that comes with it. This is a steal. As they are priced $129 each at Sydney Tools
Very good drill indeed. If you ever used one of these, you know what I'm talking about and how expensive the batteries are to buy individually.
Can be picked up in store or shipped for $9 flat

  • So how will this fair against the stanly 18v fatmax that was on sale at masters for $125~?

    • I'm not too sure about the Stanley 18v never used one tbh. I've used makita and now on to milwaukee and I can say the least that they serve me better. I use it everyday, its part of my job. I guess, if you're just looking to get something for the home diy projects or what not, its okay to get the Stanley. Plus the Milwaukee comes with a 5 year warranty vs 3 Years.

I've got quite a bit of Milwaukee gear. A lot of big industrial companies I've worked for use mainly Milwaukee gear. I've never seen Stanley power tools on site, but if you're only looking for something to use at home the Stanley will do the job.

If you're comparing the two as far as specifications go, I'm pretty sure the Stanley isn't brushless. That's probably the main difference, and you'll pay almost double just for that compared to a brushed Milwaukee drill.

If you wanted a quality drill, this kit is hard to go past. As OP said, the batteries alone are worth $129 each and the drill skin itself is around $225 so you're saving around $180.

  • Sh#! All over it
    Batt capacity + steel gears
Worth it if you have $300 and a dead drill
Must condition batteries and have the work for it,
Or go, made to a price Stanley, yes I've heard of that name, fatbox
    Ok I'm being harsh
95% of you will will go with cheap, because it's all you will ever need

  • Good deal by the way OP! I've been thinking about buying this kit - http://www.totaltools.com.au/milwaukee-next-gen-m18-fuel-6-p…

Buying it all seperate would be upwards of $2,000 :)
