Have one of these for 6 months. Excellent bike cam for less than $100. not as crystal clear and less dynamic range than a GP hero but not far off. Dont regret buying mine for 140$.

    • have you tried it with a 64GB memory card? I know the specs say max is 32GB but am wondering if it is a technical limit?

Does it rotate recording as per other dvr dashcams?

    • yup, works upside down or sideways.
(although, i think it only does sideways at certain resolutions…)

oh, i just realised you mean loop recordings.
        no, it does not.

I purchased one of these not too long ago; it has its shortcomings but for this price the Shimano camera is worth a try.
No loop recording (that would be handy) and reasonable image quality. For use on a bike it does a decent job, and the size of the camera itself is fantastic.
Just be careful not to drop it! Mine fell from a bundle of gear and the thread holding the lens protector on snapped. Now I have a Sugru mess holding everything together… maybe I need to get myself another one! ;)

  • Don't forget cashrewards. Every little bit counts!

  • I see these are geared towards the cyclists. Would these be ok for high speed (motorcycle) stuff?

    • You are better getting something like the Replay XD/prime for that I think

    • It's Shimano - they're also marketed towards fishermen, as well as cyclists!

I can't see why not, they take standard gopro mounts.

  • Can someone confirm - is this one of the the sites that your (non-28 degree) credit card will slap on the Forex surcharge? Thanks

  • Looks like a better deal than the Xiaomi Yi sports camera considering all the bundled accessories.
What's the battery time like when recording FHD?

Though the Xiaomi Yi can do 1080p 60 fps (and about 35 mbps with modded firmware).

    • battery life is quite paltry.
2.2 hours max, although you can plug in a usb powerbank to get more.

    • That battery life isn't bad at all.
Xiaoyi sports camera is about 1hr 15min.
Though that's with it outputting 1080p 60 at 30 Mbps
