  • Are these any good for older bedwetters?

    • Not sure how old you mean, but we use these on our 4yo and they haven't leaked yet. We want to teach him to wake up so figure the way they stay wet for a few minutes will help. Sometimes they are pretty bulgy in the morning though!

      We have tried the mats but it is annoying having to wash the sheets every day.

      • You could try 'blueys' instead of mats, just ask any nurse, they'll know the proper name.

        They're not uncomfortable for the littlies to sleep on, very thin, available in different sizes & hold a surprising amount of fluid.

        • Thanks, I'll try them out.
          Where are they available from?

        • @RohBoat: Our nursing staff get them from bulk medical wholesalers, but I would imagine any decent pharmacy or surgical supplier could help.

        • @RohBoat: you can also get them from places that deal with mobility aids/elderly support products. Try searching for "underpad" plenty on ebay as well. We have been using them as disposable change pads for our now 2YO. Also have a few under the sheets just in case. Check the stats on them as they only take a certain volume based on the size.

          @javajo:

          Thanks guys! Found a few online, they look like the way to go, cost about the same too (as the pull ups from the supermarket anyway).

          Do you normally get the one that fits the whole bed, or just enough to cover where they lie? Seems to be alot of different sizes.

        • @RohBoat: we went with smaller ones and line the cot with 3 with a bit of overlap between each which covers both ends!! This also makes them perfect for on the change table as well. I think they are about 60cmx40cm at a guess
