i will highly recommend you guys to stay away from this website, i bought an android tablet which does not work and have serious issue. I tried to claim the warranty and came to know this website does not have Australian address where i can ship the tablet on. Australia post is also not sending it to Hong Kong because of battery and now the only option is other couriers. These guys are not helpful at all. This was my experience with them.

    • +4

PM me your order number and I'll look into it.

It's unusual that Auspost have refused to ship it as they've been accepting lithium batteries since November 30 2015.

      • thanks and pm sent

      • No,they only send within Australia by road as I know, there is no road to other country.

        • That contradicts scotty's post and the Auspost website. They can ship lithium batteries overseas except for the International Courier option so other methods have to be used.

    • +13

I can second this. My friend bought a phone from here that was faulty, took over 3 months to resolve the issue. They also refused to refund the full amount because it apparently cost them a fee to diagnose the phone for problems.

    • I sent a phone to HK through Auspost, no problems there. Cost me only $25.

The only drop shipping company has multiple drop boxes across all states in Australia is DX/AU DIRECT.
They maybe a bit more expensive, but well worth it. I have been using AU DIRECT in the past 3 years and their service is great. Shipping time within 3-7 days via TOLL.

      • thanks a lot for sharing your experience, i am new to grey imports that why this all was new to me so i made mistake but now i am really very careful when buying from international sellers

    • Contact PayPal and put in a dispute… They're the same as every other international retailer.

      • i did and waiting for paypal to work on my dispute, seller simply saying even paypal will not help you unless you send item back to us

  • These got anything on the piston 3s?

    • These are more of a base model in comparison to the Piston 3.

    • +1

These aren't bad, just no microphone or braided cable. Beyond that they compare to my Xiaomi Hybrids for the most part (slight difference in bass).

  • Damn it I just bought some from geekbuying 2 hours ago.

OP please specify that code only works for the black colour.

  • Strange question but how are these compared to the original and also vs 3 and IV ? (im using the 3 from another previous deal — i like them and looking for second similar pair)

  • +1

Thanks Clear! Keep up the great Xiaomi/GB deals

I ordered one, but just a note that the delivery (free option) said 30-40 business days :(
Pity they only told me right at the last step (after paypal and payment basically)
Hoping that its just ultra conservative.

    • There is an estimate in the shopping cart under the estimated shipping costs. Many people get their orders within 3-4 weeks.

Have a couple of these in my drawer for kids. Good value for money.

Wtf I add the coupon code and the price goes up?

    • The full price is $6.99 and my coupon brings the already discounted price of $5.69 down to $4.99. It goes to full price before applying the discount so that it doesn't become $3.69 with the current promotion.

      • If I go directly to the link it's $5.69 USD, oh wait it applies a $2 usd discount, so it's better ordering 1 at a time

        • Correct.

  • A review on the headphones

    • So these are the 'paperback' ones?

      • The Pistons in that video are older and not the same as these ones.

Bought a phone through Geekbuying, while the phone was in transit, the company who manufactured the phone went out of business. After 2 weeks of owning the phone, the LCD shit itself.

Tried to get repaired or replaced through Geekbuying, offered a $20 refund lmao. Never again.

    • PM me your order number so I can have a look.

      • 3409836 - Tried sorting this out with your customer service for months already, before settling for a $20 credit which i never received.

        • I just negotiate and post the deals. I'll talk to the relevant people when they're back on Monday.

Same as the first comment. I would avoid these guys at all costs and do not recommend them.

I ordered Xiaomi headphones from the last deal, shipped on the 21st of July, and they've been 'In Customs' since the 2nd of August.

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/258182

Tried to contact Everbuying and their only solution was it can take up to 45 days. Really, 45 days when they were $20 items and are already in Australia?

Going to start a resolution soon with Paypal but fingers crossed that doesn't take 3 months to resolve.

I know China companies can take awhile for the product to arrive but it's more the customer service, and this has to be the worst after dealing with others like AliExpress and Banggood.

    • +2

You've linked a deal for Everbuying. Despite the similar name they're a different website and company.

      Hi YellowKnight,

Sorry for the inconvenience that has been caused.

Could you please PM your order number?

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Bought a phone from this dodgy company three weeks ago. They failed to note the Mate 8 was out of stock. On their site they still haven't updated it. They deceive you so they take your money. I'm still waiting and if it doesn't come from the supplier soon I'll ask for a refund. Judging from people's comments I think I'm screwed there as well. I even tested their online chat and asked them to double check the stock of mate 8. Caught them lying red handed. If you know what's good for you stay away from them. Dodgy businesses like this should not exist.

    • What's your order number?

      • +2

Pfftt. Ive already complained to two of their so called customer service. I'm sure I'll get the same useless response from you. Here. Thanks for your order#3731623 with GeekBuying.com. I was better off buying the phone locally even if it was the same price for a lower storage model. Cheap usually = problems.

        • +1

Dude's doing what he can to help, if you want help don't be a passive aggressive bitch about it.

        • Dude not personally attacking him. I know he has to check with them but like I said he will most likely give me a useless response. Can you blame me for being irate. I parted with almost $900 for an item they didn't indicate and still haven't indicated is out of stock. I desperately need new phone cos my current one is stuffed and would have got it already from someone else. They lure you in with cheap prices to take your money and screw you over. People just need to know this shit before they consider buying from dodgy overseas sites.

          @Pasedo:

And to add insult to injury look at what their compensation is. A $1 item. Haha. Seriously. None of this has been good. Be warned and imo anyone who promote companies like this are doing a bad thing. How do you think I find out about them in the first place.

          Dear sir,
          Thank you for patient waiting.
We could add a gift to you but not the case,We have the following gifts, you could choose one of them

I've had "not so good" experience with Banggood. While in the end I got my order, but it was more than 2 months later and I already given up on it. Contacted them and I was only told just to wait for it. Didn't even bother to file a dispute for all the hassle because of $14. It was the first and will be the last one for me to deal with these international retailers (or companies based out of China). Yes, Banggood and Geekbuying are not the same companies, but you hear the same stories, if not similar, with these companies.
What is up with all these international seller (or retailer) which 95% of them are based out of China? Is there at least one of them that is CONSISTENTLY trustworthy and has decent customer service? These types of problems that cause ppl to stereotype most Chinese companies. I'm sure we try not to stereotype or prejudice towards them, but the realities speak for itself. I would rather pay the premium to get it from OZ based companies. The hassle and the waiting and the risk are just not worth the savings. sigh….

  • When I go to shopping cart it shows me the price as 7.73 AUD.

    • +1

Price is 4.99 USD. PayPal add a currency conversion fee unless you've setup a card in PP without conversion fees.

      • I hadn't even opened PayPayl yet. I changed the setting on the site to show currency in AUD. I changed it back to USD and now the cart showing me 5.69 USD.

*Oops I didn't apply the code yet sorry!

        • +1

Yeah it'll let you change the currency on the website but it'll charge in USD.

  • After the code apply price goes up 5.69 to 6.99!!!

    • The full price is $6.99 and my coupon brings the already discounted price of $5.69 down to $4.99. It goes to full price before applying the discount so that it doesn't become $3.69 with the current promotion.

      • Ok you are right for 1 set but I am trying to buy multiple set and in that case I am getting only total 2 dollars discount!

        • +1

Yeah it discounts X amount. You'll have to make separate orders.

        • @Clear:

Wait, so if i want to buy 2 pairs I have to place 2 separate orders to take advantage of the offer?

        • @TheLowdog: Yes.

  • is there a style with no microphone or control? thanks

  • I seem to get this, and can't seem to get it any cheaper.

    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/11783868/Xiomi.JPG

    • Discount only works on 1 item and Geekbuying uses USD so it'll convert it back when you checkout.

  • what is the actually estimated time of delivery from this website?

i'm contemplating purchasing Xiaoyi YI 4K Action Camera from them and so far the feedback isn't that great.

    • Processing time can take up to a week and is usually 1-3 days on average.

Free shipping can take up to 30 business days with the an average of 3-4 weeks. DHL and TNT are 2-4 days.

95% of complaints I receive on OzBargain are people who are still waiting before the 30 business day mark.

  • Ordered on 22nd, shipped on 25th August and arrived today (13th Sept.). Quite a good fit and sound quality is quite good.
