I'd pay the bit extra and get the 6GB model. 3GB is enough for most games but some need a lot more to run at max settings (Rise of the Tomb Raider) and that will likely be a trend for future games as well.

  The amount of CUDA cores on the card has been reduced. http://www.geforce.com/hardware/10series/geforce-gtx-1060 1280 vs 1152 on the 3GB version. Apart from that it's the same spec wise.
