Careful with credit card travel insurance, USA is the worst place to be stuck without full cover

I've used Travel Insurance Direct before and they give decent cover for a good price. Check for 10% off vouchers

  But really it comes down to your ability to read the product disclosure statement in detail and compare as many policies as you can. You want something with really good medical cover.

One piece of advice, that a Citi customer representative gave me before I went to US for my trip (i used my credit card's insurance). In the US, it is pretty strict so in the event that you are warded into a hospital, you need to know the insurance provider's quote number before the doctors will even start treatment for you. So make sure you get that before you leave.

Always use TID
my wife had to have a emergency procedure a few years ago. The bill came to over thirty thousand overnight. Total cost to us. O$.
