Xbox One Elite Controller $143.19 Delivered @ Mighty Ape eBay

640
CHOICE20

Seemed quite popular last time it was available at this price, thought those that missed out would appreciate another chance.

N.B. They appear releasing stock in batches so the ebay page keeps switching from in stock to out of stock, even if this deal has been flagged as 'Expired' it may still be worth your while to follow the link, and even if it says out of stock it may be worth while checking again later!

This was a good deal until the newer One S controllers were released. knowing it doesn't have the bluetooth connection for Win10 connectivity like the new controllers.

    • +10

I already have a windows adapter and usually play cabled anyway. Until they release an Elite version with bluetooth, and it drops to a similar price, this is still a good deal regardless.

      Thanks for your opinion though.

    • +3

Too bad you can only connect one Xbox One S controller to the PC at a time. Useless for couch co-op games.

    • +3

They are a mess, you can't even assign more than one controller to bluetooth: http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2016/08/xbox-one-controllers-a…

      • How about dualshock 4, can you connect multiple of them?

        • +2

          Yes

  • +2

Thanks, Got one to replace the 2nd controller.

Bought the Elite console bundle (From EB, found on here a while back) and really liked the Elite controller. Have picked up a normal controller since and it's chalk and cheese between the build qualities.

  • +2

I'm torn between this or waiting for the Design Lab controllers to be available in Australia. Darn eBay sales!

    edit: yolo

  • this still can't be used wireless (with dongle) on PC?

tossing up between this and the new S controller with bluetooth…would love an elite S controller with bluetooth! :)

    • +7

I use it on Windows 10 with the dongle.

this is a no brainer for anyone considering getting a new controller. Well worth paying the extra $50-60 to get this. As soon as you use it there will never be no going back.

  • For the average gamer how much does this really add to the experience / comfort?

I've got two controllers - one being the S controller released earlier in the month. I can't see myself doing or needing major customisation of buttons etc.

If I still only had one controller, I probably would have grabbed it though. Not sure I can be bothered going through the motions to sell one of my existing ones to offset it.

    Does look pretty though!

This one is targeting the FPS players, mainly the more twitchy shooters like COD. It is trying to compete with the SCUF controller and if you dont know what that is, probably you wont need this. The main function for a SCUF/Elite controller is to use the paddles for jumping which allows you to free up the thumb to aim using the right stick.

I got one when I picked up the cheap Elite bundle from EB recently. In all seriousness, the regular controllers feel like junk after using the Elite controller.

    Showing out of stock now.

If you play alot, then you would appreciate the build quality. The buttons and feedback does feel like it's worth the premium. If you play once in awhile then I wouldn't bother.

Ps. I have one and choose it over the std one any day and I hardly play on the Xbox. For me it's a small price to pay for a better experience when playing xbone exclusives. I know its contradictive but I impulse buy alot.

    • I'm a sucker for premium - I grabbed one when 98 per cent sold - couldn't resist.

I'll keep the white S controller I just purchased (which is very nice too), and may sell my black controller (3.5mm audio jack version). Not sure which games I'd use three controllers at the same time.

      PS. I impulse buy too…

If you also play alot of FPS games, using the paddles in the back to map jump, crouch etc
especially in games that involve verticality i.e Black ops 3 or overwatch, to be able to jump, thrust, hover while
aiming/tracking the enemy at the same time is invaluable and use it to my advantage all the time.

its a great price without getting a scuff controller,
or any other controller modifications to add the paddles on the back, i only use 2 out of the 4 for the moment
and takes a while to get used to having them their just by the way i handle a regular controller, but once you're
acclimatized you will never go back.

while at it i also use Kontrol freeks high-rise (better control on super high sensitivity settings) on the right stick, and low-rise on the left.
and i have 6 complaints put against me for 'cheating' (According to xbox reputation enforcement website)

again the controller and the stick add-ons taken me a while to get used to, and sucked for a while as i got used to it,
    but invaluable

also + build quality, feel etc…

tl;dr you like playing FPS on console, you should buy it

  • FYI, back in stock. Just purchased one at 3:24PM. $143.19 including postage.

  • what's the chance of an updated release of this controller with scorpio?

  • Out of stock again

  • Anyone used one of these to play Rocket League? Is there any benefit to using this over a PS3 controller?

    • they're better than a ps3 controller… only thing that comes to mind… that said if you like the playstation layout and the ps3 controller specifically… then no, technically speaking.

      • Cheers. Looks like I missed out on this one :( Here's hoping they can stock more!

    • I play loads of Rocket League with mine. It's just a great all-round controller. I personally seriously dislike the DS3 (those convex triggers!) - but the DS4 is much better.

  • I am really out of the loop - $140 just for a controller?!?!?!?
    why is that?

    • +2

Please refer to the approximately one thousand comments above you, the thousand comments in every other Elite controller deal, and the universal critical acclaim of the controller that you'd find with a two word Google search.

      The controller is very good.

      • I guess I myself bought a hario fight stick for about the same price.

        I can't Complain haha

  • No brainer. Outstanding controller.

  • Dagnabbit! Missed out AGAIN. Any chance JB would price match?

    • No, they wouldn't.

    Appears to be back? :)

  • Damn, I bought one from them the other week for 175 delivered. Great controller.

  • Yes!! Back in stock - just ordered one.

    Cheers OP.

  • Damnit, out of stock again… missed out again!!! :(

Missed by 2mins from the last one sold! :(

    • Keep checking, it's been up and down like the proverbial knickers all day.

    • Back in stock.

      • Stock counter has been weird. May only be two left by the current appearance. Jump in quick if you're keen!

edit: now says 10 available. Someone at Mightyape is enjoying this!

    • Got one! :)

      • Well done caprimulgus!

  • Wasn't the console + controller on sale for like $300 recently?

    • $398

  • Premium aside, how would this controller be for driving games (Forza, etc)?

  • OOS

  • +1

Back in stock again, and slightly cheaper (140.20)

    • If anyone is going to use this on PC, you might want to grab the Xbox One Wireless Adapter at the same time…if you buy them together, the shipping is only $2 for the extra item (full postage would cancel out the discount, making it more expensive than buying locally).

  • Opened mine last night. Feels nice in the hands.

Need to try out the different stick lengths and customisations still.

Those rear paddles will take some work to get used to though to avoid accidental presses!

    Need to rewire my brain!
