I replaced my ageing laptop as part of the recent eBay deals: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/258279
It's brilliant from a mobility perspective, but I'm hoping to set it up with a monitor, external keyboard/mouse, external HDD, Ethernet etc when I'm at home. The laptop has a Thunderbolt 3 connector.
Can anyone recommend a good docking station?
A lot of the Mac oriented online stores have thunderbolt docks, although they are not cheap. However, if you are yet to buy a monitor, why not get one with a thunderbolt connector and a brace of USB ports built in?
LG and Dell sell them (don't touch the Apple Thunderbolt Display, nice screen but it is seriously out of date with USB2 ports only). So LG or Dell, work out which one you want then check price options out at staticice.com.au
