game sell this in store too
extra few bucks from a store u can return if problems

    • agreed better to get from a proper store if it's just a tiny bit extra

  • I'd rather buy from a more trusted online-store than ebay …

    $256

$259 (can use the $10 coupon to bring down to $249)

    • Well you aren't technically buying from ebay, it's just the channel. With a 48,000 votes against their name I dare say the store can be trusted and is legit.

Still if you prefer retail by all means.

OZBargain website should NEVER be used to post ebay listings.

I think thats a ridiculous rule. Negs should stay. Imagine how many new "deals" will be posted if eBay listings were allowed, it would just flood the entire site with spam. And who wins out of this? eBay.

      • +2

did you read the rules? ebay has been allowed for a long time already, yet no flood has come.
vote neg because this deal isnt cheap enough, not that its ebay.

      • +3

if it's a bargain, it's a bargain! doesn't matter where it's from. (not that this is a bargain!)

      • +2

If you feel that way then perhaps start a thread on the forum. Ozbargain rules are made based on what the community as a whole wants.

An example of a popular EBAY deal:
        http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/16508, 51 positive votes

Internal discussions have lead us to some draft rules including having ABN number and a quantity over 10 but community input is helpful.

        • +1

I agree. I don't care if it's an ebay store or my local deli, if it's a bargain and someone's found it, it should be shared on OzBargain…

      • Initially all eBay offers are banned (when OzBargain first started). However I know there are many Australian online retailers that do not have the budget nor expertise to run their own website — and they just sell all their stuff from eBay.

Therefore the moderators came up with a list (which is currently in draft state) of criteria for an eBay item to be listed. This list will continue to evolve base on the community input. After all we want people to share the best offers they found from trusted retailers.

      • "And who wins out of this? eBay."

Assuming what is posted here is a bargain still then it makes no difference as to whether its EBay or a store, the buyer still wins out.

Also as mentioned, many actual retail stores have an ebay presence as it allows them to sell things online without maintaining their own store. I know a few games stores and collectables stores which do this.

  • I'm curious on why the WiiMotes and other accessories are not under the official warranty but warranty from the ebay seller? Correct me if i'm wrong, aint the accessories under 12 months as well?

    • We've seen a number of cheapo WiiMotes which a no doubt non-genuine, and eBay is famous for them. It doesn't make them bad, as they can be one-fifth of the price, but their quality is not as good and there's no warranty so…

      • +1

Actually, my point is that whether the bundle is tied with non-genuine WiiMotes and sold at near-retail price. If it is then, it totally deserves a thumbs down.

  • Myer had a deal for $299 including wii fit and biggest loser game, I know that the Myer offer has expired, but when used as a comparison.. This deal is rubbish, also it must come with an 3rd party wiimote (3 months) -1
